  1. I wish it was Mr Roche' old bike but it is a commemorative frame released from '88 onwards. The blue paint work looks like it was anodised. Yellow cable housing on its way from CT thanks to a kind hubber. Since pics it has a NOS set of Campagnolo Super Leggra pedals with Christophe toeclips and straps. Can't wait for maiden ride.
  2. Thanks, I will take a pair of those Gel 280 and GP 4 hoops! Hope they 36 hole
  3. It's pretty cool!
  4. 1987 sure was! I am busy with this restoration but still missing a C Record crank and RD. Looking for some yellow cable casings and will complete with yellow bar tape.
  5. Earlier models of both the Mexico and Super were not crimped (Gilco) and only a few Super models came out with crimped tubes. Looking at the colour scheme of your frame I would estimate the age at early 90's. I am no expert though so don't rely upon my information.
  6. Anyone know if the Velo will sync with Wahoo Fitness products like the Repeater?

  11. There is a lot of confusion about the Gilco crimping and even some Super's were crimped. Lovely bike and now begins the hunt for some Nouvo Record parts. I think I saw a pan to crank being advertised at big bucks!

  19. dilemma I'm thinking about using yellow cable outers but none I've come across fits over the Campy gear cable! So, do I have to use the 'normal' Campy kit or has anyone had luck with a specific brand of cable outers that work with Campy cables? I have not had this problem and found I can use Campy cables in other branded casings. The most common after market cable and casing in SA is from Giant. When you cut the casing try use a quick, sharp snip as it will not cause the internal housings sleeve to deform. If it has take a sharpened spoke and insert it into the casing end to slightly enlarge the entry into the casing. The cable should then be easily inserted into the casing. Gear casings have a plastic inner sleeve and brake casings a metal inner sleeve. Some expensive casings have more refined sleeve materials to assist cable movement in the sleeve. Give me a call if you still stuck.
