  9. In my mind there is no question whether the banting/Tim Noakes/LCHF etc diet works... it clearly does... if you want to loose weight. Is it sustainable in the long term? Are there long-term effects? I do not know.
  10. Well done! But I daresay... if I had to cut out so many calories in what-ever form, I would also loose many kilograms. You would loose even more if you cut most of the fat off biltong, eat regular low-fat yoghurt etc.

  17. Cedara not safe alone... come back with a group of friends and do that one. Cascades, Grace College, Howick are alternatives... And Karkloof of course. Pity about the rain!
  18. 8 months off work... bike was write-off, but no comparison to my sore, unstable joints...
  19. I think it has merit... will go get one and let you know how good it is
  20. The cape trails are often sandy which makes for great wet weather riding. Sticky, orange mud, on the other hand, should be avoided!
  21. Well done, I am impressed. You obviously thought about what you want to achieve, and (most importantly) went out to achieve it. I fully agree: no man is better than another. I would also like to know what else is on your to-do list for 2014...
  22. Excuse me... I need to go check my garage....
