  1. Seriously expensive considering there is no accommodation provided. Guess they wont be seeing my entry....
  2. A member 3d printed a number of these a short while which were on the Hub for sale. You may be able to do a search.
  3. In my opinion they are disgusting and certainly not a replacement for gels. In fact they taste so bad / texture that I put off eating them.
  4. I think that this was a fair question. If you are going to call out a brand then there must be issues. If they are of a personal nature then why not leave the brand name out of the equation and ask the Hub users to draw reference to clothing suppliers in general.
  5. Tackle the 7 passes out and back. George to Knysna. Better still ride from Groot Brak and spend the night in Knysna. Some good routes on 7 passes circuiting back to Wilderness or starting in Wilderness. Regret I know the area but have no files.
  6. Touch base with the Bicycle Service Company (BSC) in Groot Brak. There is a club that rides from the village on weekends.
  7. Absolutely looking forward to it. Leave Weds morning 3 bells.
  8. There are areas where the soft sand is pretty hectic however all in all a great place to ride.
  9. Thanks to Chris F, myself and 2 other like minded fools have entered. Cheers Chris.
  10. Well worded with clearly a spin on the Epic.
  11. Contact Jane @ Frame Name as per above. Excellent quality and service
  12. Bicycle Service Co is in Groot Brak, give Rog a call 0823812861
  13. No up and coming ladies in the team....
  14. Which entrance did you use - was it the one off the N3 Durban Highway? Cheers
  15. Was at Midas yesterday. R83.00 for 750ml is this the correct price. Read that it was on sale. Cheers
  16. Sorry guys, who on earth was the male commentator for the 2 road events.
  17. As a banker this makes no sense to me or perhaps we are not getting the full picture. An EFT cannot be reversed without the permission of the account holder. The banks are only acting as 3rd party agents for the transfer and receipt of funds between 2 parties and are not privy to the circumstances / background to said transactions. If in fact an EFT was received and it appeared as such on the bank statement then the transaction stands good. There is no way that the remitter is in a position to reverse these funds and as such the bank will not be compromised in entertaining such a request despite the circumstances
  18. I got zapped on the helmet yesterday morning..
  19. So here I am riding up Cydonia Str in Primrose last Saturday morning. Whats that up ahead - a traffic jam. 4 cars trying to pass a Toyota Fortunner blazened with super cycling advertising and requesting caution as to the cyclists ahead. So I pass this lot with relative ease only to find 5 cyclists upfront. You guessed it - in super c kit riding 3 abreast. So here comes my chirp to the lady riding on the white line. " its not all about you, cant you see that there is traffic behind you and you are blocking the way" The response - "we have a vehicle behind us" - and this gives you permission to abuse the rules of the road. My question is 1. Would it not be mandatory for the driver of the vehicle to reprimand the cyclists actions? 2. Is there not an ethos within the club which would ensure that club members conducted themselves in a satisfactory manner? 3. Should the super c brand be not upheld particularly when in public view where not only the cyclists and the following vehicle carry the brand and supposedly the mission statement so widely articulated by the Super Cycling presenters.
  20. I would be keen to look at the dog bone as an individual item based on size comparison to my 2009 asr
  21. All sounds good, however no need to remove the chain particularly if you are not technically inclined. If there is a speed link then of course - no problem
  22. These spacers provide you with the stem height. To take up the movement that you currently have undo the pinch bolts on the stem, then tighten the allum key bolt in the top cap to take up any movement in the fork - not to tight, you want the steerer to turn smoothly and not to rock into position. Place one hand around the spacers / frame and pull the front brake - there must be no lateral movement, adjust accordingly. Once you are happy tighten up the pinch bolts to secure the stem to the fork steerer tube. Tighten each pinch bolt in small increments to ensure a tight fit. NB note the comment made in the previous reply.
  23. Yo i wouldny worry about the spring what about the frame?
  24. Something that one often overlooks is the knarled cable adustment nut on either the shifter end or in some cases at the RD. This nut is made of plastic and the small knarled indentations wear off with use thereby allowing the adjuster nut to slip, hence releasing cable tension and ultimately gear adjustment. Blame is always placed on a so called "worn derailer" as probably was the case with Kosmonooit
  25. Well said Splat........
