  1. I had a giant reign, morewood mbuzi and a hartail, not all at once. But nothing comes close to a Santa Cruc Nomad. That is the best bike ever.
  2. Hi, has anybody ever got their scott ''pull shock'' serviced? I am looking for the manuals, no luck on the scott website. Or who in gauteng can service a pull shock?
  3. how long before they hit van gaalen? That is going to be a sad day..... We should get the big guns, 3rd degree, carte blanch, mike bolhuis......... where does the bikes go? Who distributes them? How do you get 7 high end mtbs out of chicken farm without suspision? Who buys stolen bikes? I just realized why they take the clothes and helmets, they do it not to look to suspesious, when cycling a mtb.....
  4. Can we "hook up" in the next coulpe of weeks, can you show me DHL? When do you ussually ride?
  5. Are we (MTBers)allowed on the hikking trail with our bikes? How is saftey?
  6. DHL? Any jobs for an engineer in CT?
  7. No 6" bikes in Gauteng?
  8. Hi, Where can I find some "All mountain" riding in Gauteng? Or should I rather just ride down the DH tracks? Surely there is a track or something in the Magaliesberg? Where do you ussually take your 6" travel bikes? Cheers!
  9. wez1wp seems legit from his posts..... Maybe we should advice him how he can become more trust worthy? How about Hubbers pay only once they have received the goods? Not always just the first couple of transactions?? How can we get "security", what will we accept as "security"...... The guy is trying to give us a service..... lets help him by stating our terms / requirements - what would be less risky for us, untill hubbers decide he is trust worthy.....
  10. Had a Morewood Mbuzi 6" travel machine - no complaints one of the best bikes I ever had
  11. what a chop .......hope you one day get to meet Mr. Fox 40
  12. No, we actually go there when not cycling and put a couple of hours labour in...... we do this to make our track more fun. When still riding DH, We used to work on the track for about 2 hours every weekend before starting to ride..... we somethimes went on the saturday, build for the whole day and then on the sunday tried the new lines and drops..... So guess what the trail features do not magically appear.
  13. I have a slightly diffrent view....... It is about the bike. If you put the same guy on two diffrent bikes, he will be faster on one of them. However, two diffrent guys on two diffrent bikes is another story........ There i would agree its not about the bike.
  14. I go down onionhill every week...... Thing is it is jeeptrack not single track and there is definitly no direction marked on either end at any of the jeep tracks for cyclist...... . I never go the wrong way on the single track
  15. How do they say? You can not do the same thing over and over and expect a diffrent result...... Translated - roadies will forever be knocked over on roads by vehicles. You guys are crazy for riding on the road, there is actualy people that WANT to ride over you. No excuse for bad drivers but damm road cycling dangerous.......
  16. Must be the crapest pair of tires ever owned - HAS NO GRIP . And while you are cycling (MTBing) you will have the odd mud pudle, strean crossing or early morning dew making the track a little wet.....surely the tires should have been designed for this? Only consider these tires if you plan to ride in a strait line at 12h00 in the winter on a gravel road
  17. Wonder if HER legs is shaved.....
  18. We have one such event.......... Mankele Avalanche! It is awsome........ It is a race, DH start, all on single track approx 7km, and dropping 600m with 20m acent on average. Time to complete a run is approx 14 - 20 min. You have 3 runs, 2 on the saturday and one on the sunday, times get added to determine places. Try it you will love..... Most appropiate bike.....anything from 120 - 160 travel
  19. ......you also can't order a 5 course meal from Wimpy
  20. Insure it with your household goods -
  21. just reading thru all of this....?. This dude seems like the kind that looks away...... The kind that take no action, as it is not his problem. Poeple like this make it unsafe for all of us. This is why we need to cycle in fenced areas, people like this make us carry guns while we are riding carbon fibre, people like this caused numerous hubbers to be robbed stabed and traumatized...... What can we do to stop this guy receiving and selling stollen goods? How can we force him to be more figialant when receiving 2nd hand goods......
  22. my juicy 7s overheated...... Had to give the brakes a break two or three times...... Took our group 5 hours up and 1:20 down from an to the hotel
  23. Ok so Giant RSA is in the clear and I am a bit slow.... Only saw the recall on the US site yesterday....... nobody said nothing and the bikes are selling in RSA and guess what I am not really trusting off LBSs..... But I am wrong this time and are happy that none of us in RSA is being affected by this. We got to look out for each other BECAUSE no one else will. Cheers!
