  2. We are in the global market since the invention of the INTERWEB....... that is why we buy from CRC and CWC
  3. I actually went to both, 2 days at Misty Valley lodge, 2days at Mankele. Misty Valley lodge is more family orientated and Mankele more biker orientated. Still enjoyed both places and will go back to both..... Surely one can do 30kms without repeating the same STrack? Was also a bit Peedoff when I saw the under construction labels.....

  5. Thanks - Why not warm soapy water, or did I mis-read? Does the frame need a clear coat afterwards and if it does what works best?
  6. Hijack - Ho do one remove anodizing?
  7. I was there between Xmas and new year. My experience was totally diffrent to just keep pedaling.... I really enjoyed it. Sure the tracks is short (7km), but one can do more than one... Some parts of the trail is really technical and some is easy.... We even did a night ride, which was awsome, riding between the animals, seeing their eyes glow....... I think it is grat place and will definitly be back Rating: 9/10 for Accomodation 7/10 for trails 10/10 for effort
  8. PG-13 (Some hubbers need Parental Guidance - or some did not receive in their childhood)
  9. I ride with mallets - no problems, all the advantages of the other CBs, just a bit heavier but better foot support
  10. Thanks - now I have a smile on my face
  11. This will be welcomed - thanks for all the effort!
  12. I got one a week ago....... Yes it is waterproof tested in the swimmingpool - got some nice underwater videos. I don't have any issues with the camera as far...... if recorded on HD the quality is quite good..... The video is quite shaky if the camera is mounted to the bicycle, less so if mounted to your helmet. I wan't to try and mount it to my shoulder (on my camelbak) next time I ride....... The 5megapixels camera's quality is not that good due to the lense.......it gives a bit of a "fish eye" effect. GPS functionally is an extra module thatyou need to buy and then there is space in the camera to slot it in..... I am still sruggeling to find the right software to edit the video clips.... All and all I am happy with the camera
  13. WWJD?
  14. Cool, Thanks for all the feedback....
  15. Anybody been there???
  16. Some peolpe don't have the time to service their own bikes.....some peolp have just started cycling and place their trust in a shop to fix the little gremlins till they have the confidance to do it them selves.... Well if the shop can not even fix a tyre or gears...... how are they goin to fix a shock? Bleed brakes? Install a Headset???? I would steer clear of Anton's.....
  17. Hi, Going to Misty Valley Lodge near Machadadorp / Waterval Boven this December. Has anybody been there? What can I expect in terms of accomodation ? And riding? Thanks!

  21. What was the outcome?
  22. Here is my thoughts: STAY OUT OF DANGEROUS AREAS RUNNING / CYCLING AWAY IS ALWAYS AND ALWAYST HE FIRST OPTION Failing the above keep the following in mind: 1) You need to know what you are going to do BEFORE you get in to a situation. Thus you need to decide today if you will shoot the guy, stab or club him.... when you are on the trail you must DO and not try and decide there. 2) Club vs. knife - I wil go for a baton as it is "less leathal" and "quicker acting" Result of a blow is instant - no bleeding out time..... 3) My preffer ranking: Pepper Spray, Baton, gun, knife 4) Obvisoly you need to know how to use your weapon otherwise it is useless and might be more dangerous 5) Whatch out for adrenaline dump as this will make you freeze (Adrenaline slow the mind, increase blood flow, tense your muscles etc.) Self defence is not as easy as peolpe think it is - unless you have been in a simaler situation a couple of times sucessfully defending yourself is unlikely. remember the following: STAY OUT OF DANGEROUS AREAS RUNNING / CYCLING AWAY IS ALWAYS THE FIRST OPTION
  23. My new ride... Santa Cruz 1 Nomad. Juicy 7, Fox 36 Vanilla, Fox DHX 5.0, Sainth hubs on a MTX29 and a ZTR Flow, Maxxis 2.35 High rollers, CB Mallets, CB Joplin R, SRAM X9, Had to go with Pink and Purple as it seems to be the only colours complimenting the Anodized slate colour.......
