  1. bwahahahahahahaha That is the best end to any thread ever.....
  2. 1.75... Small or Medium depending on stand over height. I have the legs of a 7 year old child and the body and arms of an NBA player. (Or basically just built like a gorilla)
  3. This thread is amazing! Isn't it exhausting being SO offended by everything? Look, I'm not saying it's right. I read that Bogan article and immediately felt 46.7% dumber and robbed of 7 minutes of my time. But offended? Insulted? Do I fear that rude hand gestures and the tone of the article will ruin children? Not really... only that I hope kids don't read that and think 'rad, lets grow up in an affluent house just to play at being trash'.... that's a little sad. Anyway, OP, Jan, bro, boet, keep your pants on, have another boganbrew, grow a mullet and do an editorial in the family magazine next month on how far some other magazines have fallen. Start a printed media mud slinging contest.... that way you can keep the dinosaurs relevant for another few months....
  4. How was it? Did anyone bash their stanchions in dingleberries?
  5. Sheesh... good job A1 and all the organisers. This series is looking good!
  6. They even stole pictures of the BikeHub team from the CAM shoot... namely Nick with his unshaven legs.. I remember that caused a stir on here
  7. The website says 'dedicated for 1x' https://www.bassobikes.com/bicycles/cross-gravel/palta/palta-space-blu
  8. Yeah, but rocket ron's and Mezcals are also about as reliable as an old french car...... I would choose Ikons over pretty much anything. Except these Michelin wild rac'r tires I have on my AR/xc/marathon bike currently... They roll like nothing I have ever ridden but have big ass side knobs when I need to lean them into things. Light too.... If I can't get them again I will just buy Ikons again...
  9. Also, what's wrong with Ikons? They are amazing race tires....
  10. The poodle wins every time..... get the angry bike
  11. Yes But this opens the door for top cyclists to be motopaced by other top cyclists for the win. Adding 120 wattys on to Karl Platt even in his old age will allow him to tow one of his team mates to the win. I dunno. I really don't care. If you guys want e-bikes at races then cool. I don't really do races anymore because I would prefer to ride empty trails when everyone else is racing. Guys are being called names, people are being mean and petty and personal now. Over e-bikes. pffft......
  12. I will again say that the problem probably isn't with 72 year old John Rogers with a hip and a knee replacement wanting to ride k2c. Cool, let him do it. Suddenly team Bulls have an ebike or 3 in the start chute, they quickly hit the front and work with one of their guys to moto pace him to victory. It can start out as a 'lets all play together' fun initiative but as humans, the will to win will supersede what is right. Go and drive your e-bikes on all the trails, on all the radness, but not at a race. Come on.
  13. Yeah but pffft.... It's completely different. This would just be bicycle races with electric motors?!
  14. Stop hating on guys, bro! Are there road e-bikes? That would be cool... Imagine how quickly the top guys could get around the Argus route being towed by a few e-bikes! Imagine the sprint finishes on the flat tour stages if guys could activate pedal assist! Holy moly... Riding across a gap to catch the break? Pfft.... I reckon they should just make it legal to dope and drive e-bikes. Surely that would make the racing way more exciting? Why hate on something? Lets embrace it and fully utilize it in the sport. 98% of the guys in the pro peloton have asthma or some other disease requiring a TUE, so just throw Porte's cyber limbs in there and you have guys absolutely needing e-bikes. Cycling reborn! cacaw, cacaw..... the E-onix is arising!
  15. Enjoying the country side is very different to entering a race By all means, drive the e-bike all over the country side, but why is there a need to enter races when you clearly aren't racing? Nah...
  16. Hey bro Do a search on this site. This has been discussed ad nauseam and I doubt you will get any different answers to the other eleventeen guys who asked the same question. Immediate answers! BOOM It's a pleasure
  17. e-bikes are awesome. I often think how rad a trail e-bike would be riding jonkers. But why on earth would you want to race? Surely you appreciate that on race day, other awesome trail centres are empty and you go and smash those? The obsession people have with racing is ridiculous. Drive your e-bike for fun. It is rad. It has no place at races
  18. Last year I fell at Ezelenduro on the last stage. I don't really remember finishing the race but I did.. I then had some beers, slept and drove home the next day feeling a bit hazy. A few days later I 'woke up' in the parking lot outside Checkers having absolutely no idea how I got there or why I was there.. the following day I was standing in the kitchen with a spoon and a bowl in my hands and no idea how I got there or why I was in the kitchen. Haematoma in my brain, which led me to some more scans and discover 3 fractured vertibrae and some broken ribs. Go to a real doctor. If you are having prolonged symptoms it may be a bit more serious than you think. You only get one brain. Make sure you get it looked at properly.
  19. Yeah nah... I think if you drive an ebike, stick to not doing races? The issue is if you permit ebikes, even in a different catagory, some tjop or team of tjops will use them to motopace their self propelled rider to victory or some such.... It's like we were all raised by Reese Bobby.... If you ain't first, you're last!
  20. 'Guy sits at his desk giggling like a small child who just farted in the school bus and knows it's going to smell and nobody knows it's him.....' Thank you
  21. That's not just a ding.. That looks like the whole rim wall has pushed out above the bead bed. If you bend that back you will land up with a grey area of very fatigues alu on something that carries a hell of a lot of stress from many different angles. Spoke tension, rider weight, rotational mass etc... Stressed alu is brittle. I would replace it and save yourself a trip to the dentist after the tire rolls off or the whole thing cracks/snaps or tacos at high speed. Call me paranoid but I choose safety first.
  22. hahahaha 'not hating' but comparing anything to fat bikes says otherwise! I think a little 60mm travel front and rear would be awesome. Wide flared 52mm drops with decent brakes and 43mm tires run a bit harder because you have some comfort squidge and you have yourself a weapon right there. Low rolling resistance, comfort, the ability to sit and turn a crank on corrugation, no broken wrists or palms descending long windey washed out gravel passes, still looks sleek and road bikey.... Living the dream right there I would say
  23. Yeah nah..... Toast
