  1. MB with their many unnecessary engine changes, while still within the FIA rules is the same as mechanical doping, and this is the real cheating that happened during the season. No other team did this to the EXTREME that MB did. If Lulu was as good as he and his fanbase thinks he is, it wouldn't have been necessary and he would have won long before the finale as they had the superior car. Likewise it wouldn't have been necessary for MB to get the FIA to change the pitstop criteria & change the rear wing specifications during the season just because their opposition was better than them at doing their job! I was a Lulu fan all through his McLaren and then early MB days. His off track media attention seeking started to get to me after awhile but then when he came out with his BLM and poor me I've been hard done by BS was the final straw. Plus the guy is a total hypocrite, he complained about Vettle (way before MV was around) but then does the same, with him and Toto its always a Pot & Kettle situation. I liked MV when he came onto the scene as well as Lando and Charles. Yes MV is aggressive and that reminds me of Schumie and Senna. I don't care about the Vegan , LBTQ , or whatever other media whoring BS that goes on, I watch F1 for the racing and Max is a racer!
  2. I love how all the Lulu fanbase are up in arms even though the FIA was on their side for the majority the season.
  3. The most deserved driver of the season won. For those that don't believe that MB had the better car think of this, If MB didn't play around with Bottas' engine every time Max was penalized, MB would have sealed the constructors title in the America's.
  4. Unfortunately the Honda engine is a constant reliable power source and doesn't offer peak power spikes like the Merc does. That's according to Max.
  5. Nope Michael Massi came out yesterday and said he would deduct point.
  6. Unfortunately FIA has stated it will DEDUCT points from Max if he does that.
  7. Can bet you that if 33 had this many changes, the FIA would have made a rule that unless the motor blows up engine changes would be illegal.
  8. ... and car....and Stewards..... and FIA......and to top it off the slow technical corners have been removed from the track this wkn to suit the Merc

We are absolutely rubbish. The 10 game run as i feared only papered over the cracks. I was quietly optimistic after the Leicester game as i didn't believe that we were truly Top 4 material and as soon as it was time to prove it and make it ours we failed against Utd and now this game has shown us up once more. We are going to get HAMMERED this wkn. Our strikers can't buy a goal, 7 games without any striker scoring 🤬 Watch, it won't get better under Arteta. I'm sticking by my belief that Arteta should have cut his teeth at a lower team. Get relegated, get promoted and then maybe after a few seasons attempt a top 6 team. There are more real world lessons to learn from relegation and promotion than will ever be learnt from being an understudy to Pep. Arteta himself admitted he is under qualified when he said he wants Wenger to come in as a consultant. I see us battling for 10th place this year.

My best mate ( at my wedding and in life) who is also a Gooner and I were discussing the game earlier. He feels that Utd will win tonight and is willing to accept it. I on the other hand said to him that if we want to be in Europe next season we need to win our next two games as United and West Ham are our direct rivals for 4th and if you wish to end 4th you have to beat those rivals. Also with us set to loose Lacazett and Nkeita in Jan we need a striker as Auba has become the Ozil 2.0 since his payday 18months ago. So in order to attract a top class striker in Jan we need to look like we will be in Europe next season by being 4th on the log come the window. As you have stated previously (which i totally agree with), our 10 game run was mostly against muppets and when we came against the big boys we lost badly again. This too makes the next 4 days extremely important for us.
  11. Hey bud, I live in Alberton and run for Lewensentrum (named after an afrikaan church in the area but most don't attend this specific church). WE have daily runs during the week and then back to back long runs on wkns. Fridays is coffee run and if its someone's birthday then they supply cupcakes. At races we go in convoy and take coolerboxes with beers for "recovery" while waiting for the rest to finish. We have all sorts of runner from our lady who won the Sani Stagger 38km Trail on the week to the grandfather who has failed to qualify for comrades the last 3 time he has tried. Our chairman was the comrades 10hour & 11hour bus driver for over a decade too. Easter time we have an Easter 100 which the Alberton Athletics club runners join. drop me a PM if this is of interest to you.
  12. Well done to all. please post race reports once you are feeling human again.
  13. This weekend thought me , that after 3 decades of watching I know absolutely nothing about F1. Guess i should stick to my day job and just enjoy the show instead of trying to figure out the inner workings of the crazy world of F1
  14. The FIA have denied Mercedes' request for a Right of Review into the defensive manoeuvre Max Verstappen used to retain the lead from Lewis Hamilton on Lap 48 of last week's Sao Paulo Grand Prix. https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.breaking-stewards-deny-mercedes-request-for-right-of-review-over-verstappen.3bLfoAlwBa91L44vIP9dIl.html
  15. Problem is that LH44 went purple in sector 2 before backing off. Think Merc have more pace than they showed in FP1. Hope I am completely wrong though.
  16. Dude, you are a Rockstar, thanks it worked like a charm.
  17. Best of luck guys. I must admit i have FOMO for Sunday but definitely wouldn't have been able to do the training for the event. In fact iI'm 15kgs heavier than i was for the 2019 event, which was the last time i swam too.
  18. I know a lot of people say the final three races are high speed circuits. while i agree with this statement for Abu Dhabi and Saudi, I think RB will have the advantage at Qatar this wkn. The majority of the track looks like sector 2 in Sau Paulo which suited the RB. If that is the case and MV33tops LH44 then he will lead by 22 points, bar the fastest lap point. That would effectively mean MV33 only needs to finish 2nd behind LH44 in the Merc favored tracks to still win the WDC.
  19. Does anyone perhaps have a Black Friday discount code for premium subscription? EDIT : 20BritishTri2021 doesn't work
  20. If LH44 wins the next two races and MV33 comes second they will go into Abu Dhabi tie on points. That is if the fastest lap point goings elsewhere. Unfortunately LH44 is the most successful driver at Abu Dhabi ever with 5 wins out of the 12 events held.
  21. Think the swim will be shortened again. As for the bike and run portion, it will be much like 2019. I remember the avg wind was 43km/h with gust up to 65km/h . First time i had to peddle flat out on a downhill to keep moving forward. Anyway, best of luck guys. To get to the start line after the past 2 years is an achievement in itself.
  22. I completely dislike LH44 but have to give credit where it is due. His driving this weekend, even though he had the better car was really good.
  23. Looks like Ham is set for a 5 place grid penalty in Sau Paulo.
  24. I must admit with all the "upgrades" and changed to the Bikehub coupled with the removal of certain threads, discord is way more frequent in my browser than bikehub nowadays. However, I do miss our daily, sometimes hourly updates from this thread.
