  1. Are the original spokes still in the wheel? If so, pull one out of from the cassette side and one out from the opposite side. they are the only 2 lengths used in wheels. Long and Short spoke. If not, you can try either the Sapim or DT Swiss spoke calculator. You will need specific measurements such as hub flange size and distance between flange and center of hub.
  2. This is exactly why I dont participate in Marathon MTB events anymore. People who are fit get seeded higher but the second there is a rock in the trail, the train of riders comes to a grinding halt. Seeding should be a mix of fitness and skill ability, but hey, Dream world I guess
  3. Im a biiiig Spank fan, had their Oozy hoops on my Cotic. I gave those things so much abuse and they kept asking for more
  4. Mine is on order in a Medium, Im not too concerned about weight of the bike. I carry enough extra weight around my mid section to be able to justify having a light Trail bike. If it comes in under around 16kg without pedals, I would be happy with that. Much like an E-Bike, some extra weight in the right places can make a bike very, very confidence inspiring.
  5. Hot Take... You might be seeded in A batch...doesn't always mean you have the skills to keep up 😆
  6. Big need for this bike! Cannot wait to get my hands on one!!
  7. Not sure what issues you are facing here, do you find you are sitting with too much weight over the front end of the bike? If so, check your fork sag is correct (20mm sag). If sag is correct and you still find yourself too far over the front wheel. If fork sag is correct, you could try the same length stem with a higher degree of rise.
  8. Could be, for all we know its like Motorex or Maxxis. Split amongst a few different distros in different markets
  9. We used to electrical tape them to the lower of the fork, right above where the QR lever would be. The rattling got annoying with the little adapter
  10. Thanks for confirming, You never know these days, Distros in SA change like a toddlers nappies
  11. Maybe try Luxottica, they were the last Distributor for Oakley in the country.
  12. Seems the only brands offering a Crash Replacement on Road wheels are: Bontrager (Trek) Reserve Wheels (Santa Cruz) Concept Speed (Private Label) Roval (Specialized) - 2 Years with original owner
  13. 40mm wheels are a good middle ground. Going deeper for a lighter rider can be a menace in crosswinds. Do you do lots of climbing? If so, shallower is better. Ceramic bearings are great if you take the time to keep them maintained but can become eye watering when you get the bill for replacements. There are lots of great wheel brands out there, because of how poor our road conditions are, I would consider a brand that offers a "Crash Replacement" or discount if you smash a rim.
  14. Sounds to me like either the mounting cups or the Towball itself is worn down a bit. Is the rack well used? Brand new?
  15. Generally, the max weight limit on any towball rack is around 65kg of vertical weight. If transporting multiple E-Bikes, it is recommended you remove the battery for transport. This helps prevent the pendulum effect that a bouncing bike on a rack can cause.
  16. Mandatory Interval session around that section of the Dam😆
  17. I see a common denominator in this thread.....Roadies! Get a Mountain Bike and you will become immune to these issues 😆
  18. Howzit Wiley, Im Tech Support for Bicycle Power Trading. Yes, Rouvy has unfortunately begun removing compatibility for these bikes from the app, we assume this is to make space for the new Direct Drive trainers. We have been fighting this issue with Rouvy for well over a year as there is no other software we are aware of that can work with the automatic resistance control. What we have had to do is "Downgrade" the IC400 to a manual adjuster. This will allow you to connect the rear hub to any training app as a Powermeter/Cadence meter and you will need to manually adjust the resistance depending on the watts you need to put out. We are trying to work with Saris to integrate the IC functionality into their Saris Utility App but that could take some time to complete. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any other questions, Thanks! George Bicycle Power Trading Technical Support
  19. Okes must smell you before they see you, while waiting for the morning group ride
  20. The Mazda RCI event series..that brings back some memories!!
  21. His Interview on VitalMTB was interesting to listen to. Norco sound like they are out to build the most adjustable DH bike you can. For someone that puzzles like GM does, this must be really exciting! He will be staying with FOX suspension to so at least we will still see him on Dial'd
  22. YT much like Canyon is a Direct to Customer brand now. So dont hold your breath for a retailer to stock them.

    Scam Alert

Also starting to see the 2nd hand cycles page on FB accepting known frauds onto the group. More due diligence is needed by some admins.
