  1. Lovely organic ribeye last night. Hard to beat
  2. Good call
  3. Looks incredible
  4. A good butcher is worth their weight in gold. Luckily my butcher knows never to put the receipt in the shopping bag
  5. Last night was T-bone night. Hard to beat.
  6. I find it very hard to support Conor. His behaviour detracts so much from his ability.
  7. What are you talking about?
  8. Good that you’re home boss. Nothing beats your own environment
  9. **** - hope it’s just indigestion. Stay strong
  10. Nope, the butcher hangs it for me. I'll select the cut with him and the he hangs it for me until close to xmas. He'll hang a few bits for me through the year
  11. That looks stunning. Makes the mouth water just looking at the pics
  12. Hard to get good steak unless you go to a good butcher and tell him exactly what you want. Supermarket and meat market steak is always hit and miss. Once you get it right, you will know. On that subject, I’m going to choose a t-bone on the weekend to hang now for Christmas time. Last time I did one was a couple of years ago. 5KG, hung for 60 odd days, cooked in the Weber, was beautiful.
  13. Basically a ribeye with bone in. Best if you can get your butcher to hang it for 48-60 days for you and then cut.
  14. Did a lovely Tomahawk on Saturday night. Indirect heat for an hour to bring the internal temp up to rare, and then built the heat up and seared it like a beast. Was beautiful.
  15. Good luck - Will look forward to an English version. Also, will there be an online version?
  16. Not sure if appropriate for this thread, but I’ve just finished this book. Mostly stories from pilots and crew in the SAAF. Fascinating

    RIFLE

I was running a gun shop in KZN when these launched. I was lucky enough to be invited up to Pretoria for their unveiling. We got a tour of the facility and spent time shooting the rifles. They were a great answer to the challenges involved in licensing semi autos, but I never really warmed to them.

    RIFLE

We had an LM4 and a Mini 14 in the house for many years growing up. Due to the particular circumstances of our location, we spent a lot of time training with them and carrying them when out and about. The LM4 was definitely my preferred choice. Rugged and better mag capacity. It also meant that when I got to the army, I was fairly knowledgeable about the R4 as they were basically the same thing
  19. No lad. That was beer bread
  20. Was off last week so lots of meat was cooked
  21. Didn’t Frail do 4 in 4 days or something similar?
  22. How dare you try and make some money out of something that you’ve built over a number of years? Next you’ll say that you somehow have the desire to feed and clothe your family, you naughty naughty man.
  23. Ha - Pinetown the Finetown . I slept outside the hotel there one night in the army after a big night when I couldn't get a lift back to the base on the bluff. I think it was called the Imperial hotel.
  24. At £10,400 it is pretty eye watering here as well. Coincidentally, the KTM argument applies here as well, even more so I suspect, having been perving over KTM's online yesterday.
