  1. I will do exactly that, maybe get them to commit on paper to one free courier if any issues do arise.
  2. Another contender, merida 120. Eish, been researching so much already but will have to do my homework. Norco still looks hitter than all the others tho
  3. Warranty will have peace of mind but im 750km away from the closest norco dealer, but guess R1500 courier fees both ways be cheaper than broken R15k frame.
  4. Seems the stumpjumper approx 14kg , scott spark 900 approx 13kg and giant stance 2 is 13.6 Well more homework and test rides for me
  5. No way am i riding CPT to PLZ to test out a bike lol, same issue will be with warranty claims as it will involve shipping cost etc. I love how Norco looks and read up and watched endless clips on that bike, excellent besides for the crappy brakes which R2k brake upgrade will fix. Otherwise for practicality - Giant stance , Stumpie or Scott spark range as all local available here
  6. Just need to test one here in cpt, doesnt seem any cape town stores stock them
  7. And how your buddy find the sram ? Faultless and fluid?
  8. Ok let me research these suntours then, could be me just being brand biased
  9. Thats the crappy part, Norco in shop in JHB. Need to go to local Norco lbs to get the fit. Im test the spez out tomorrow Guess the fit and test will be the determining factor. My main concern is suntour on the norco and the sram - but this bikes stance and looks just talks me Spez is just the no dropper and its 2nd hand.
  10. This my reasoning too, im pulling towards the spez vasis the rockshox and slx. I missed out on a scott spark 920 that i was hoping for, so now i narrowed it down to these two. Thats another factor, vertical or horizontal shock which is comfier? Defs need to add the dropper post to the spez but the Norco looks abit more aggressive for me and i like that. Spez can get for R25k(2nd hand) Norco is R26500 brand new Im really torn between the two though. Sram i heard more issues than with SLX. Only crap thing is i cant test ride the Norco as im getting it delivered from JHB
  11. I want to use bike for trails, singletrack and just social riding. No racing etc. Both are entry level bikes and i just wanted something comfier. https://www.norco.com/bikes/2020/mountain/trail/fluid-fs-aluminum/fluid-fs-3/ https://www.specialized.com/za/en/mens-stumpjumper-st-alloy-29/p/154985?color=&searchText=94718-7202
  12. contacted them this week, no stock on bike addict website
  13. More like no checks in my experience - not once have i seen or asked to produce my card
  14. awesome news, saw a picture of a guy knee deep in that pool on the Tokai trails FaceBook page , luckily all of us only had ego damage
  15. nope, no inner included
  16. and.....please say your bike is at that woodshop
  17. https://getstokedonline.co.za/product/661-exo-knee-pad/ R170
  18. Tokai was awesome today, however was section of the mamba that had a proper 20cm deep mudpool that you couldn't avoid, straight plant into it around blind corner. Saw fellow mtbiker face plant too, as came off slight drop into abit of mud and front wheels gave way. But still, trails were super great, excellent work done on them. Was packed aswell around 9am
  19. Goodstuff thanks man
  20. Hahahhaha, want trails all to yourself. Awesome gents, i shall be riding then
  21. Luckily you saw through this bs story, scary thing is i am sure this has worked before and ppl fell victim to this. Thanks for sharing, we all can learn from this. Luckily i havent had crap like this before
