  1. Should probably look for a 54cm, maybe even a 56cm You normally have to come down a size from MTB to Road.
  2. Are we allowed to complain about the goodie bag ? (asking for a friend)
  3. They all dope, it's whether they get caught or not. And when they get caught then they pay somebody to come up with a story about the cows in Spain, the pharmacist tainted the capsules, we forgot to inform the UCI, etc, etc, etc. Just remember that Lance never got caught. He was the wizard !!!
  4. Seems that way. He finally found a new inhaler. He's still got some serious work to do though. The way Yates is going he won't even be in the top 10 - eish that's going to hurt.
  5. Yates is loosing more time with each pedal stroke He's finished.
  6. Just refresh if it says "broadcast suspended" Worked for me. Working on: http://cyclingstream.com/
  7. I agree that Tom hasn't done much in the Tour. Even yesterday he (and Froome) was just sucking wheel until the finish line. Froome will need to attack today and probably will but I think Tom will just sit there and wait to see if he can take back a few more seconds.
  8. Thanks Eldron, unfortunately I only saw your post afterwards.
  9. Today should be nail biting. It could all be decided today but let's see what happens. With Yates fading yesterday it boosted the other GC contenders BIG time. Now they going to go after Yates. BUT If Yates managers to dish out some punishment today then the other GC contenders spirits will be broken again. What a build up to the finale.......
  10. Clever guy. He obviously knew their strategy for the Giro and probably knew that even if he didn't win he'd finish in the top places and he could ask for more money. Now that it's looking like he'll win his price just goes up. I wonder if it gets to a point where the rider just prices himself out of contention ?
  11. Good to see that they'll still be around in 2019
  12. A bit of a hi-jack but what's happening with Dimension Data next year ? Deloitte is teaming up with Giant and taking over the MBC Team' SunWeb are getting Cervelo bikes That leaves Dimension Data without a bike sponsor and I'm sure Deloitte's contribution helped a lot
  13. If they do then you'll have to change your profile picture to the Yates brothers I think at this stage they have to be really happy with their performance at the Giro.
  14. But Sky did exactly the same thing last year with TDF. Fromme went into the TDF without any wins in 2017 and then won the TDF. Good for Scott for (possibly) changing their strategy and focusing on the Giro. They handing out punishment to all the other contenders and the real winners are the fans because it makes for exciting racing. Come TDF Scott will do what Dimension Data are doing at the Giro, just sit in the bunch and chill. Maybe Scott will just go for a Stage win or 2(at TDF). IMO of course
  15. None of the GC contenders had an answer for Yates yesterday. Team SKY (and Froome) were like WTF ????? Those guys had to dig really, really deep to complete Saturday's stage and then Yates pitches up yesterday with "fresh legs". Don't think that anybody expected that. Whatever Yates is using for recovery I need as well. Aru just wants the Giro to end now !! He doesn't even know where to go and hide at this stage.
  16. But tomorrow it will be really interesting (well we all hope so) All eyes will be on Yates & Tom. IMO Yates has enough of a gap over Tom to remain in PINK (unless he crashes / punctures / etc) MTS are doing really well.
  17. Difficult to make a prediction at this stage. Yates needs to worry about Tom Tom needs to worry about Pinot General 1 S Yates 51h 57' 55'' 2 T Dumoulin +47'' 3 T Pinot +1' 04'' 4 D Pozzovivo +1' 18'' 5 R Carapaz +1' 56'' Once the ITT is over on Tuesday things will probably be a bit different.
  18. Froome is looking terrible so unless he finds a BIG inhaler I don't see him doing anything at the Giro. He's already said that the main target is TDF. Yates seems to have a lot of heart but Tom is just there watching. At this stage it seems that Tom is happy to avoid the pink jersey.
  19. I'm keep an eye on the classifieds. Since I joined the hub many years ago things have really changed. Back then road stuff was a lot more and there was a lot of it. These days it's MTB stuff. Road stuff is more limited. When goods are price right they sell quickly. For me negotiating has always been part of the hub. There have been times that the seller accepts a low ball offer, other times they get pissed off. All part of the fun. Some people might be holing onto their penny's but my gosh did I see plenty of R100k+ bike at the 100 Cycle Challenge.
  20. For me Tom is starting to look good. He's just there waiting for the right moment to attack Yates. For Yates sake I hope Scott can re-group and protect him - I think he's going to need it. Maybe MainCheese is also missing his asthma pump.
  21. Ja he's pedantic about his bikes If in doubt, contact him and go do a session there and you'll know.
  22. What if the readings are more false ? I'd say the Smart Trainer is more accurate than a WattBike at VA. I'm sure there are some WattBike's at VA that are reading properly but some - eish Sounds like you missing the inspiration that's walking around at VA ???
  23. From my experience the WattBike's at VA are a bit of a hit and miss. Some seem ok and others are just stuffed. Some seem way too happy with the readings they give while others are stingy. Pretty sure nobody calibrates them ever at the gym. Have a mate that busy at a proper Watt Bike studio and he says that the bikes at the studio are completely different to any WattBike he's used at a VA. A big different when the bikes get maintained properly. As for the training that you've done (the 2500km) it's done and in the legs and nobody can take that away from you. If I was you, I'd just do a new FTP test on the Smart trainer redo your zones and off you go.
