  1. The 94.7 organisers are having a poll on Twitter which ends tonight and majority of the people that have voted preferred this years route. I'm sure the heat played a major role for the later groups. I started in B bunch and never felt hot during the ride but at the finish line once I stopped I felt the heat pretty quick. Those last 4km are probably the best out of any race.
  2. If next year you do the exact same time again we going to have you tested. Then there'll be proof that you aren't human !!!
  3. The E Bikes also irritate me. Never saw any yesterday but have ridden in a bunch with E Bikes and when there's a hill they just create chaos !!! I think at the 94.7 they should start 20min before the Elites. Like that nobody will even know that they there.
  4. Next year you need to do it on a KTM WITHOUT a motor !!
  5. I see the time on the Racetec website are a bit "faster" than their app was showing yesterday. Does anybody know where the time started ? Normally it starts as the gun goes off but then there was the timing mat after the "neutral" zone. The Racetec App was 1min faster than my Garmin, Ractec website is 3min faster than my Garmin. Normally my Garmin time is between 30-60 seconds slower than the Racetec time.
  6. I agree with Scotty, those hills after the Kyalami Race Track just never end. Got excited when I saw those banners saying "last hill" then we turned left and there's another hill to climb. Jan Smuts is also long. 3min faster for me this year. Rode a bit wiser this year. Chatted with FRAIL while riding on the Race Track. Respect for riding up from CT.
  7. Good luck everybody Have an awesome race. Stay safe ????‍♂️????‍♂️????‍♂️????‍♂️
  8. Chip must be in ?? Didn't know that one had to apply for a 2nd lap. Majority of the people I know that have done 2 laps they just did it.
  9. Last week I collected a parcel for an order I placed mid April - 7 months Had already given up hope. Yesterday I collected 2 small parcels for an order that was placed end August - just over 3 months Still have some stuff outstanding, some is at the International Mail Centre and some is in some black hole somewhere.
  10. With all those robots in the first few km you going to need a lot of marshals there. I think the 1st half is going to be really fast. The bumps are mainly in the 2nd half of the route. A bit more climbing on this route though.
  11. Maybe having only 1 saddle, stem section would be better as they are the same for road & MTB. Ok, ok, ok they also the same for eBikes, gravel bikes and track bikes (I think)
  12. A good thing that I don't use that driving app. Those logs could be used in court as evidence
  13. and the bike ? You'll be gatvol of it and just leave it there ?
  14. Nice to know that you guys will have a good base and I can just watch you guys from the back Stay safe
  15. This is the problem with Aramex. The other side of the coin is that these days there are so many people buying goods internationally and the Post Office is probably in the same space it was 60 years ago. I've seen bags and bags of small parcels being delivered to my local post office, multiply that by a 1000 and they can't cope with the volume.
  16. I just wish that was another option besides the post office. Using a courier isn't always an option. Back in the day when order stuff from overseas it took 4 - 6 weeks These days it's more like 4 - 6 months Some goods I ordered in April arrived earlier this month and 2 orders from March have never arrived.
  17. So they going to build another shopping centre there ? Mall of the South is about 500m away. I think Hein must be thinking of retiring, he owned that whole koppie, from Impala RD all the way around.
  18. I have lights similar (or the same) to the 1200 Lumens and the 3000 Lumens. Like others have said, doubt they are any where near those ratings but they work well. The battery in the 1st post is the smaller battery but it works. I used it for a 24hr event but can't remember how long I used the battery for. On training rides it manages 2.5 - 3 hour rides without going flat.
  19. The biggest problem is our useless Post Office. I'm still waiting for 2 orders from March - starting to loose hope though. In my experience (I purchase a bit from AliExpress) 98% of the orders make it to me but it's just taking longer and longer because of the Post Office. If our Post Office was world class I'd spend a lot more with AliExpress (so maybe it's a good thing they so useless). AliExpress are having a sale on at the moment. Placed an order yesterday and hoping that I'll have in my hands by the end of November.
  20. I'm not a customer at either CWC or CL. Bought some stuff years ago from CWC when they had a special for the Argus. No problems at all. CL are just a bunch of rip offs. Good for the CWC owner/s but terrible for the consumers. Also good for other smaller shops to step up and make some of the CWC customers there's. Great opportunities for some. I buy majority of my stuff from over the seas.
