Just got back. Parking was already chaotic, but the collections queues weren't too bad. Nice stands were Giant, Pinarello and shimano. Some other nice stands as well, but nothing that stood out more than in previous years. No scantily-clad dollies promoting things either, but there was some eye candy on display. 32gi stand is big and Mark was their talking nutrition - spent about 15minutes with him. The fantastic biltong place is back, right at the exit so keep your cash. Also, if you're looking for kit, anatomic has a stand selling most shirts at R250, which is a bargain. Nice designs without plentiful sponsor's branding, which I like.

So I love having different hand positions on my 26er that bar ends offer me. But when I look through the 29er picture thread, I get a complex cause no one has bar ends. So can I put bar ends on my new 29er without fear of being mocked??

Depending on your weight and riding style, I would also look at the Arch rims, they are slightly heavier but can take more abuse.

Getting back to the original topic The specs for the Giant XTC 29er are on the website (USA version) now. I'm not too sure about the colour or specs tbh - I think Giant may have missed a trick with their 2010 lineup

Both Giant and Scott have got pretty well specced bikes at this price.

So I found out that the 2012 XTC 29ers should be in store beginning of October, so it looks like it might be worth waiting for them. Unless shops start discounting like crazy...

And yes, the distributors have every right to ask for POP However, when you have NUMEROUS (and I've searched locally and international threads on this) problems with your product breaking, shouldn't you be obliged to issue a voluntary recall on the product? or a quick exchange when breaking. I'm not asking for an upgrade or cash back, I just want the product that I've paid for, to perform it's intended function. I had a problem with my Crossmark tyres bubbling - called the distributor, they said they knew about, told me to take the tyre to ANY bike shop and they'd swap it out.

I also contacted the distributors - gave me the same thing about supplying my POP. Who honestly keeps receipts from years ago? They know there is a problem - why not just replace????
