  1. 2 many to mention but basically you won't need a rim strip as there are no spoke holes on the inside of the rim.
  2. Cool that's what I was hoping for. Thanks for the feedback. UST it is then. Now who has a cheap set for me
  3. I'm currently using tubeless conversion on non UST. No problem there but I'm thinking of getting new rims. With my conversion I find it easier to just pull out the strip and put in a tube if the tyre cuts and continue. Now if I get UST rims how easy is it to still do this? Is the valve easy enough to remove and put in a tube as a temp measure? Suppose I can go to the LBS to check but I'm lazy and that is why you are here. Yes YOU reading this
  4. Got no idea, did not really pay attention to his gear.
  5. Jeep tracks are not a problem and people normally go both ways on these and as such they are considered two way. The single track at groenkloof have a natural clockwise flow, natural being an objective term here, but then we have seen natural does not always apply.
  6. On the second last section before you go down the hill towards the waterhole. Except for the preceding section this is probably the fastest and most dense part.
  8. Have you tried to stand when you start feeling the warmth starting? he reason I'm asking is that it might be as a result of something you're pinching when you sit. Just a guess but it seems as if you are desperate and will be willing to do a headstand if it will make a difference

  10. These guys are frikkin unbelievable. Ordered on Thursday and picked up my stuff on Friday in PTA. I would be willing to pay more for service like that but to make it even worse, they are cheaper (with shipping) than any place up here!!! Great job, I will definitely buy again.
  11. I must compliment the organizers on an awesome race with some very nice single track.
  12. Doubt it. I've used OKO and Stans as well and no problems. It might just be your tyre not seating properly. Inflate it and use some soap water around the edge to see where it is leaking. Then you hold the wheel with the leak at the bottom and start slowly swinging it to slosh the sealant around to seal the leak.
  13. Use it with tubeless conversion on non UST rims. No problems thus far. O and don't be lulled into a false sense of security with it blocking the valve hole. If you are riding and get a cut that size it won't plug, trust me on this
  14. Use Stans and have installed my 2nd back tyre with the same strip. No issues. In between I have removed to fix sidewall cuts and still no issues. My strips fit like a glove and there is no stickiness, the sealant rinse off with water.
  15. This proof that capies are sissies. NOT ONE BICYCLE TO BE SEEN!!!! It's just a bit of water people
  16. I know it's personal preference but I fail to understand why people do it. I have been stuck behind iPodders on numerous occasions while pushing their bikes up inclines. Obviously they did not hear my pleas as I was coming up behind them. This being my obvious peeve I cannot understand how you can ride without hearing what's happening with your bike. IMHO I think that they should ban it in bike parks - No Helmet, No Ride. iPod, No Ride. chuck2009-07-14 00:05:09

I really have to give a thumbs up to Colin. I realized what issues they have with distribution in some areas when I started looking for some of their product a while back. When I send a message to Colin about my frustration he immediately contacted me to help sort out the problem. Even if I find the product does not work for me I will probably still buy it as mix for my vodka just because of this Hell spending 500K on a new car does not even give you this type of service
  18. Nothing great about it! They sat on my wheel until I let them go at the 79.5Km to go mark to avoid being tested for banned substances again. This reminds me of a conversation I overheard at Babbas one day. Guy walks up to the adult dude parked next to me and asks if he is doing the 70k's. No he will be doing the 14k's, last time out he came second. He was serious. Bloody pedophile!

    Neck pains

Agree go for a setup but some other thoughts - Riding in a more upright position will definitely help. So make sure the shop who do the setup understand what type of riding she will be doing. There is sense in sitting in a racing crouch if you don't need to. The core of most, if not all, upper body pain can usually be traced to your abs. These muscles support most of what you are doing and if they are not up to spec your back start to take strain, especially between the shoulder blades as you are carrying your total upper body weight with your arms. If you are talking about hammering it for long distances I would say it is almost normal as most cyclist tend to feel it. O yes raise the height of that ironing board
  20. 1 - stay away from nail polish remover unless you are removing nail polish 2 - Paraffin or turps normally does the trick chuck2009-07-02 02:30:06
  21. OK, OK there is no reason to get abusive now
  22. But then my bike smells like a girl. Using oil it smells like a man But yes you're right, mr min should do a good job as well.
  23. What I have found works great to remove the streaks it sometimes leaves behind, specifically on matt surfaces like shocks, is to wipe down the surface with some like Q20 making sure you wipe it properly with a clean cloth afterwards. It makes black matt surfaces look like new.
  24. Or the whole family thing. They will all still be there one day when you are old and useless (they might not like you but you will be too old to care) but your ability to cycle may not
