  1. Try not not to crack this one....
  2. So the 9th Aug is midweek and the 16 June is a Sat so I get why the moved it to Aug. We have done the event the past two years and its always a blast.
  3. Maybe try Pyro lights on Facebook or www.pyrolights.co.za They are also in Stellies so it may be the same crowd
  4. Or you can take up your PPA membership and thus not have to pay the CSA membership license fee.
  5. So how many of you hubbers are using Cycle lab to get your bike there and back for SANI2C I am using them as it takes out the hassle of travelling with the bikes and especially on the last day having a mad dash to clean and pack the bikes before our 2pm shuttle.
  6. So what exactly did you ride in SANI, the bike or......
  7. As far as I am aware you can hand in your kit bag at registration and they will give it back to you at Scottburgh Taken from the Sani2C website -- Kit not required during the race needs to be handed in at registration and will be available at the finish in Scottburgh only.

  9. Just seen the new route profiles for SANI2C 2012. Seems that day two and three are way easier. Day one is harder but the overall route looks like less of a challenge. The only way to know will be to ride. still looking forward to this event as I am a proudly SANI2C newbie.
  10. Stormers all the way . @ antonj I played for 7 years
  11. So go to http://translate.google.com And type in - Ek is n Bloubul The truth hurts hey ….. or Dependant on your point of view
  12. No Bite point adjustment??? Seems that you have XTR race brakes and not the XTR trail brakes which would have the feature you are looking for. XTR Trail has tool free reach-adjust and free stroke adjustment. XTR Race has none of the above as its lighter.
  13. Very good

Same guys as the Epic. Well at least when I email them last year it was the same crowd, they said that they outsourced some of the events management and that this is were the problem came in.

So I am doing the 56km with my better half (ok THE WIFE) this year as a training ride for or SANI2C. Last year the organizers did pack up before the cut off to go and watch the Epic finish. I emailed them and made a stink so hopefully the can get there act together this year. Its a great route, hard but scenic with sweeping views.
  16. Sitting on Dorsberg with the boys on Sunday morning, waiting to see the Pain on the guys faces once they have tackled the awesome yet challenging route that the Tygerberg Mountain Biking Club has build over the past few years. The final Climb on Dorsberg (Meerenda farm) is going to be brutal.
  17. Niner + 1 on that budget
  18. I saw a topless lady in Noordhoek at the base of chappies, I would put her in her late 30's. She was skinny with droopy boobs. I all I could think of was that Noordhoeks special people were out and about. It was not a bad sight but also not great either.
  19. Ok its supposed to be a big great white, but I can not see it. Were it the outline / shadow etc.
  20. Goose bump stuff. Just registered as a donar
  21. I was rather pissed off last year as my wife put in the effort to beat the cut off for the 50km race only to find that the marshals at the finish line had all quite there post to go and watch the EPIC riders come in. She did not get her finishers medal. Now I know the medal is not the issue its the fact that they abandoned there post and the times were not recorded. The hole timing issue was also a disaster.
  22. Sitting at my desk, Just finished a coffee and most importantly a Crispy bacon egg and cheese toasted wholewheat sarmie. But .... I am going to Jonkershoek for a ride with "the wife" late this afternoon and then yes boys I am going to Oak Vallley with the boys bright and early on Sunday am to ride the incredibly smooth and orgasmic trails that they have on offer. So to sum it up its as simple as 1,2,3 Workride with the wiferide and play with the boys
  23. I also learnt a lesson. Do not touch the electric fence at Silvertree Est in Tokai. Its a rather powerful one. And no it was not on purpose.
  24. Simple and cheap solution. Get an adapter to allow you to use your old fork with the tapered frame. Speak to your LBS they should be able to org it for you. took to long to reply it seems quiete a few hubbers beat me to it with the same advice
