Going to be my 5th I think next year...One of the best stage races ever!! Price is so worth it!! If you have not done it, try your hardest to get an entry cause it is so worth it!!!!

In conjunction with a HR monitor...Its the only way to train and know where your limits are!! But saying that...you still gotta get out there and do the dirty work!

Like Eye Candy said...The best place is park in the cradle, by Teak or Toadbury hall or Avianto and ride the 32km loop out there. There are 100's of cyclist that ride that route every weekend. Big shoulder on the road to ride in.

I go for a general purpose tyre, unless very muddy. Agree on the Monorail in the front, *** tyre to run in the front...good for the back. Went from Conti mountain kings 2.1's in the front, thinking they were the best...Now find a Racing Ralph 2.25 awesome on the front. Still prefer a 2.1 at the back

Irene has had bike jacking issues for a long time...Best is to stay out of that area and ride other areas. Two years ago, more then 6 bikes in a group got jacked there, so just be aware when riding in large groups.

If you like the frame or like the look of it....Buy it!! Nothing wrong with Silverback, not my cup of tea, but everyone has differnet views. Who cares what others think, if you like then get it And for the shop owners that you spoke to, they just want you to buy there top end bikes so they can make more money off you.

found a huge difference when I did the swap and my niner came with a thruaxle front wheel...

saddle not the issue...Your positioning might be wrong?? Saying that the same thing happens when I used a gobi xm...But others said my saddle position was wrong too.

MTB is FAR mor expensive then riding a road bike. The thing that I have done to keep my costs down, is to ride the road bike on weekdays and only use the MTB once on the weekend But it helps keep it down. A friend spent R8k fixing his bike after Clarens Mtn race 2 weeks ago!!

Go with B if you not riding hectic terrain then go with to race kings...These tyres are the best!! If you decide to do more races, stick a mountain on the front.
