Not Nokia... The phone is too big, and the battery does not last long enough. I've had a N95-1, which I've used with sportstracker, and the accuracy and ability to stayed lock-on is? not up to the same level as the Forerunner 405 I use my Nokia N73 with GPS dongle and sportstracker and it lasts very long. Battery has not died on me yet...of the phone or dongle. I use it along with my Polar to get heart rate.
  5. Thanks...
  6. bump...
  7. Hi Can anyone tell me what a 'Semi Cartridge' bottom bracket is? I seem to have one on my bike, but I have no idea what the difference is between it and a normal bottom bracket... ?
  8. Hi What would you guys recommend as the best Bicycle Repair and Maintenance book on the market?
  9. Yes, upgrading will be more expensive in the long run, however the "long run" can be stretched over a long time!
  10. Big difference between SLX and XT?
  11. Ohk, thanks. Think I will have it checked out.
  12. Sweet, thanks.
  13. Hi I currently have an entry level 'goose. So, it is riddled with entry level components. I have no problem with the wheels or frame really, just the components get little niggles quite quickly. And being half way on a 80km race with the derailleur starting to slip is no fun! So, the question is, is it worth while upgrading the groupset, or should I just buy a whole new bike? I have been looking at the following... Shimano XT M760 V-Brake Groupset 9 Speed from CRC - R3800. (http://chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=30706) The way I see it is that looking at a bike with XT components and a cool shock, I will have to fork out about R14k (which means I will probably not have the mula any time soon). However I will be able to upgrade the components, and then perhaps later the fork as well. What do you guys think? What should I do? Pls help!!!
  14. Hi I currently have a 8 speed cassette (24 speed). Will I be able to upgrade to a 9 speed cassette, or should I upgrade the hub as well?

  20. Change gears... I recently replaced my cables and housings and it made a massive difference. Dirt goes into the housings and makes it harder for the cable to move around in them. The more dirt there is the more difficult changing of gears become.
  21. Nice read! That's how I fix my toyota bakkie!
  22. Yes, will do. I tried to figure it out as I went. I suppose each bike will be a bit different.
