Well I think the fact that this topic is generating so much discussion on the hub says a lot... Instead of everyone talking about how great barloworld cycled last week all everyone seems to be preoccupied with is Robbie Hunters middle finger... so yes, it is bad for barloworld! Everyone seems to have forgotten that he is just a bike rider... he isn't a politician or a saint of any discription and luckily for us all his job title is simply proffesional bike rider or we would all be in a lot of trouble... and cycling would be completely boring... One things for sure, his sponsors won't be happy!

Yeah, I been doing all my hill intervals on the top section of Signal hill for the last 5 weeks now... so I'm more then ready for the hill climb... Now I just need to practise the dirtroad section on the vissershok stage and I should be ready...

Yeah for sure - the hill climb is definately an awesome spectacle, just glad i dont have to ride up it Good luck to all you riders tackling it, it is one hell of a tough climb. Thats a bad attitude to go to Giro with... if you don't think you'll make it then you never will... Its tough racing and the most important preperation you can do is prepare yourself mentally... You are right about one thing though... you learn a lot racing Giro... Its an absolute privelage to get to participate in this event. Best of luck to you!

Looks like I'm late to the party... Was a great event... would be awesome to see it become a permanent fixture on the calendar... An extra day or twos racing wouldn't be a bad idea... maybe look to include the paarl league race... or something like that... I know most of us did that anyway, but would be nice if it was a 4 day tour or even 5 if possible...

Try getting a course of Vitamin B12 and B complex shots... they work like a bomb

Speak to John O'conner (sp?) from Willie Engelbrecht cycles... I went in there last week after strugling to get my cleats right for the past 3 weeks... he sorted them out in a matter of minutes... He really knows his stuff.
