  1. Was probably between Van Hooydonck and Dennis or covid having a say in the team.
  2. The gold breaking from the marble effect on the cycling tops and perhaps two gold stripes on leg grippers of the green cycling shorts can work. Subtle gold Olympic rings on the bike, good to go!
  5. Thanks for the write-up Chris! Beautiful picture!!! Reflection of the race and hopefully some motivation for others to explore.
  6. I could not attend this year 😂. Received a few race reports and all of them made the same conclusion, it is a tuff three day event for the average weekend warrior. The trails are littered with stones, dry river beds and sand patches is draining on energy levels. Walking some sections of the Klipspringer trails, other comment was not technical can be done on gravel bike...not sure about that. To me it will never be a big number event and I don`t think the organizer wants it to be. Personally for me it is about the scenery, remoteness and the experience. Just a pity of the timing on the calendar, April is the most beautiful month. Looking forward to @ChrisF race report.
  7. Unfortunately not a lot of single tracks. Longish stages to get elevation. The single tracks are also not manicured, it is natural grazing foot trails of antelope. https://transaugrabies.co.za/en/

  9. Would not mind. Personally think it is a good move. Racing with a bit of flair. The Olympic bike would at least be less horrendous, perhaps even stylish.
  10. Unbelievable! Beating Mathews in straight up sprint, something to boast to your grandchildren one day. Probably last chance for start at his age.
  11. Swiss stage for Impey, hopeful enough for a TDF start.
  12. I do not like change fact! Get up same time every day, always put the left shoe on first, it is either strawberry Pronutro with chocolate Nesquik or vise versa. Been frequenting the Hub for many years, back to low 2000, first 4 years did not have a profile, left and came back after the big crash. With my renewal this year, seriously considered to not renew for a value point of view and the lost community aspect. The days of the community standing together, supporting a hubber is gone. Was privileged to meet three hubbers I previously only new by their Hub names, at the end of the day our love for bikes, cycling and making a difference is wat we had in common. Would be interesting to see the stats of how many Plus members are left? Is their an exit interview.
  13. Chris from my last enquiry, stage 3 is going to use an alternative route and will not be crossing the river over the make shift bridge, the water level was just to high and only dropped significantly last week. Still almost 1m above our normal swim and fishing hole, only Charlie the golden retriever brave enough for the cold water and water levels.
  14. Welgedaan Louis!!! Sien uit na TDF!!!

  16. Not sure there were a broadcast. AH around 13 place, Nino one or two places up.
  17. I forgot about the new TT bike. Looking fast. All the best with the build up to TDF!
  18. John how is the new bike for UAE?
  19. Debated this for months with myself, ended up taking an Cyclingtips subscription. Not the fastest on the days results over weekends, but the quality of the photo`s, diverse articles persuaded me. That two day coverage of the Australian Handmade cycle scene...awesomeness just there. Have about 5 items on my life`s list, one is to build and own a custom handmade bicycle.
  20. Very nice! Black and red fastest! About 20 years ago, I saw my first Storck mtb (Y bike frame style), I stalked the german visiting Upington just so that I could see the bike, he was not very friendly...but for me it was the most beautiful bike I have seen.
  21. Enjoy the trails!!
  22. What would the cost be for such a trail line?
