  1. Its a bit more technical than Conties Blue and it is a bit more up and down as well. I prefer a long drag up and then going down like a load of bricks like Conties, but its nice to get a variety of riding in as well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  2. They have various trails that goes up to 25km in length (black route). I did the red that is 15km in length with 320m of climbing. I would say 70% is single track, 30% jeep track on the red. It is mostly not too technical, but there are 2 or 3 places that can be tricky. These are well marked with danger signs. I enjoy the trails as the missus and kids can chill at the restaurant while I ride and there are showers if you want to clean up afterwards. They are kiddie friendly with pony rides and a nice play area as well. Trail fees are R50. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  5. I did it last year. I visit Greyton quite often and enjoy the trails. The race has a few sections that is normally not accessible to the public. Greyton itself is great for a weekend away as well with good restaurants, a lovely market for the non-cyclists on the Saturday and some good art galleries and craft shops as well. 6. How do you feel about Ski-lifts (on the Northern Hemisphere of course) and bakkie-shuttles (at home of course). Are those guys also not ‘pure cyclists’? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  10. As things stand right now we are very light in the All Rounder department. For us to be truly competitive in the shorter formats we need a good bowling all rounder that can smash 40 off 15 balls towards the end of an innings for us. Morris is probably our best bet to do this, so lets hope that Otis and the coaching staff works with him on his batting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  11. A solid day out for the Proteas. Bavuma got close to another 100. Maharaj played positively to push the scoring along and our quicks in particular looked like taking wickets all afternoon. I risk getting ahead of myself, but if we can get the last 4 wickets in the morning session, I’d let them follow on and then try and deliver the Coup de Grace tomorrow so they can get an early flight home. Just an observation: is it my imagination or did the animosity that marred the series so far disappear from the field in this test? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  12. Its up to CA to go back and look into the recent history. If anything, I am impressed with their handling of the matter so far. Perhaps the ICC / various cricket bodies should offer some sort of amnesty and ask players to come forward and disclose information. Then the ICC can use this information in preventing similar offenses, defining undue altering / use of artificial substance (and all the other vague and ambiguous terminology around this matter) and impose a punishment to fit the crime. 3 demerit points and a potential 1 match ban, and only 5 penalty runs added to the opposition score is a joke really. Should results be reviewed? Lets first get a grasp of whether or not this sort of thing is isolated or common, and if players make disclosures under an amnesty or not. 14. Urgh... ‘Open letters’ are just the pits (never mind that we all want Smith and Co to be dealt with). I never read them, no-one who should ever responds to them and after 2 days we all forget about them. The writer would have been much better served sending a registered letter to CA about his outrage and disappointment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  16. Nope... one gets you some skeef kyke (like farting in the elevator), the other gets your arse fired (like taking a dump on the boardroom table during the board meeting).
  17. So is using an Asthma pump the same as using a bike with a hidden electric motor? The objectives are exactly the same...
  18. I know very well how working in the ball works, but if it creates a ‘grey area’ in the modern game, take it out. We stick to tradition when it suites us. We don’t play with cork cricket pads anymore, and bats have edges 4 times thicker than 30 years ago. We never get through 90 overs a day anymore because the ball does a full trip around 9 fielders before getting to the bowler. If you need a more even contest between bat and ball, play with the bats we played with 30 years ago rather than allowing players an opportunity to cheat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  19. Perhaps the solution lies in not being allowed to work on the ball at all? Give it to the ump after each over and he’ll wipe it down with a cloth to remove anything from it. We may get through our overs quicker, balls may keep their shape longer and you don’t have to work out where the line is that you shouldn’t cross. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  20. Its one thing to fart in a full elevator at the office on Monday morning, its another to take a sh!t on the boardroom table with a directors meeting in progress. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

  22. I am nervous as hell for tomorrow’s stage. It promises to be a long hard day out. So far I am very impressed. Registration was a breeze, the shirt and hoodie in the goodie bag with all the Biogen stuffs are all things we can use, dinner was great, the race village is set under shady Oaks on lush green lawn and there is twin ply toilet paper [emoji16].
