  1. Go to bed a bit earlier, It will take a couple weeks to get used to and your body to adapt. Also try loading as many of your daily carbs into your system to help.
  2. My simple take on things. The inhaler does not give him an advantage over other athletes, but it does give him an advantage on his personal performance. A person with a condition should not be allowed to use something to better himself, not to get himself on even playing field with the rest. If someone suffers from low testosterone, are they allowed to take some to put them into normal ranges. It is the same thing, both form part of your genetic makeup. The rules should either be strict and not allow anything or be laxy dazy and allow everything.
  3. I like how the colour scheme runs into the Chainstay, this is what i meant above. If the name was in a Gloss black it would be similar to what i have been thinking apart from the red all over the front triangle.
  4. Hi All, Starting this thread to get some ideas. So first off i have a Superfly frame that i am going to send to BogusOne to be repaired and full spray. As soon as i am fixed on an idea and Bogus is ready i will be sending it to him. Below is the frame i Kind of like the idea of going a Dark Matt colour and doing the name on the side in a black gloss (similar to the highball frame), on the bottom of the downtube the name is written in a pearly white which i might want to stay as is (i still need to discuss what is possible with Bogus). I also saw this frame and like the concept of the two colours on top and then down the inside of the chainstay On top of all this i have a black XT groupset and a white Reba Still have to obtain the controls and wheelset. Any ideas on the frame would be appreciated.
  5. Hope to see Meintjes attack in the mountains on the weekend. Who thinks Cuddles has a shot with 55secs behind.
  6. There is only one way to put on weight, eat more. There is only one way to put on muscle mass, resistance training. IF you want to put on muscle you will have to up your protein and carb/fat intake so that you consume more calories than you spend. Also consider how you eat, timing of your meals with muscular weight gain. Pre, post and intra training nutrition is important in this. Nothing has to be supplemented if you can get enough food down your throat. I eat a lot (4 cooked meals a day) and I snack and I use supplements. I have to supplement or I cannot pick up anything and I only weigh 75kg's.
  7. Haha, It would obviously need a proximity sensor. Thinking along the lines of the Volvo that can sense when you are tired.
  8. it should be a simple application installed in cars, no phone can operate behind a steering wheel. A range frequency to block the signal and only calls come through on Bluetooth. Same as drinking and driving, a sensor can be put in place and does not allow the vehicle to start if it can pick up alcohol. Surely some IT geek can do these types of programs.
  9. Very similar thing in what you compare. Spokes can easily be replaced a car door and the other is just rough. I would buy those rims if I were looking for that item and it were a good buy. Its not dodgy because a guy cuts spokes, maybe not the brightest thing to do though as Gummi pointed out spokes aren't cheap. I know you didn't say it was dodgy but HFS1000 and cpt armpies did, I was merely referring to your post so as not to be confused with the original topic.
  10. Maybe just lazy, or didn't know how to take the spokes off without damaging the rim/hub
  11. Don't see a problem with that, the guy is selling rims and tyres (not wheelset). Probably just cut the spokes to get the hubs out.
  12. Having sore legs from riding and sore legs from training with weights properly are two different things. Doing max on squats hurts for days. It is something I personally enjoy though, you can feel the effort you have put in.
  13. One thing to consider is that the end wasn't very steep. Wait till we se them on the steep stuff and I Recon Conto will tap his way past with the efforts today. Froome also looked a little worse for wear but then he did pull for a fair bit.
  14. Thanks for the great pics Gummi, The German is huge. Hope the brothers Schleck can put some effort in and Mandy gives some fight in the Tour.
  15. I use my rigid for training, really has helped in the tight areas and the tech sections, it has also lowered maintenance costs. Cant wait to have the my 9er built with the Reba, gonna flow through those sections. Cant compare my fork to anything else as this is the only rigid I have had, Its and Exotic but I think its pretty compliant and seems to be quite strong.
  16. That is pure porn. I don't think I would be able to ride it in case I scratched it.
  17. Haha, It works by applying pressure around your midriff and can effectively take your pressure of impact down to 20% of your body weight. Guess that no one has done this before.
  18. Hi All, Has anyone ever used one of these. Reason being is that my wife has a degenerative condition in her hips. She had an op last year and is just struggling to get back into things. She was a runner, not great but she enjoyed it. Now she struggles to walk 5km's and cannot run at all. She is looking at this as a starting point and would like to hear any ones opinion on these. Thanks.
  19. Why wait, it is a race and your in it to win it. Where does it end in terms of waiting for your opposition when things happen. What if your main rival created the crash, do you still wait.
  20. Push her up all hills, this will add some strength to your riding.
  21. Now that is a beautiful time piece.
  22. Hi Jigghead, the Seiko agents were a joke with the answers I received and they could not help me with the refurbishment at all. I am going to go through a jeweller I know as my damages are purely cosmetic.
  23. Then get her a 26", and if possible get a FS bike so that it is more comfortable. I am trying to get my wife back on the bike and will definitely get her a descent 26" FS bike
  24. Agree with Cellar on the frame size, although you should be able to get a better 26" bike than a 29er. For a beginner I do not see the difference between the two wheel sizes.
