I helped a guy at the Parys Dirtmax with a spare tube once , and after the race he came to me with R50.00 , so there are people that do appreciate it, I also believe in karma , as being at the back end of the marathon events i partake in , we tend to be more helpfull to each other.

Make sure your bike is mechanically Ok , as this race takes a toll on the bikes, last year I saw a few broken chains and other breakdowns.Last year was tough , doing it again this year , the 70km

I have had a Saeco bean to cup machine and a capsule coffee machine ,one broke, the other to expensive to keep drinking coffee.If you only enjoy expresso try "instant expresso powder",best value for money.

I have been using the Merida bottle cages , and have not had any problems,even done the Magalies Monster.

Just entered the 106km . I did the 56km last year and it was quite tough with the wind.The atmosphere was awesome. I must be crazy to try the 106km , but like they say you only live once. See you there.
