  1. This looks helluva promising. [emoji2][emoji106]
  2. Yes they do....yes they do..... And also when you ride b@tch shut up and hang on[emoji6]
  3. V@k maar daar staan n paar mooi sitkamer matte agter daai draad.[emoji6]
  4. Told him this morning to tilt his helmet forward as somebody on the internet says it looks silly and he told me that it's a road helmet and that its gonna look silly no matter how you tilt it..... Guess that was also a hint at a new helmet, a more trail oriented one like his dad's.
  6. Went out for a short ride with my little guy this morning. Mr know-it-all this one I tell you.
  7. Quick one with the little ginger know-it-all this morning.
  8. Haven't baught anything cycling related for a long time but after today's ride and my XT drivetrain thinking it wants to be DI2 by jumping between gears I decided it was time to fit the new drivetrain, cables and grips that have been lying in the cupboard since October. I must admit I took it to the bikeshop for a wash and polish before bringing it home to work on it myself.
  10. Did a countryside ride with a bunch of mates this morning. Had to work hard to keep up with these guys as they midfielders and I'm nothing but a back marker at this stage.
  11. With the tummy bug behind me I could finally start commuting by bike again after almost a year and what a great morning to start of again. Sommer gives you kick for the weekend. [emoji41]
  12. Like some of the other Dogs mentioned, a nice base to do your own custom thing from.
  13. Lol!......I have 2........[emoji16]
  14. So Friday on my way home my SRAD started jerking a few times and eventually died on me. Found the main fuse blown and called the wife to come fetch me with the bakkie. Only got round to looking for the problem this afternoon and got really lucky. Took the tailpiece of first and moved on to the front fairing to inspect the wiring loom. As I took of the fairing panel I saw that the loom had started rubbing against the fork and had scuffed of the insulation and this caused a dead short on the wire. Taped the wires back up, repositioned the loom slightly as to not rub against the fork again and I'm good to go again. A plus point that came out of this incident is that in anticipation that I might be without a bike for a day or two while stripping the loom I proceeded to assemble my singlespeed commuter that hasn't been used in more than a year as backup to get to work. Now that its running again I might aswell start using it again and give the motorbike a bit of rest.
  15. Years ago I had this GSXR SRAD of mine in Streetfighter guise, was a way more comfortable in traffic but still to nippy though.Toying with the idea of a small 400cc streetfighter build, enough power for whatever and you can make it as comfortable as the custom seat you put on.
  16. Sat in the Cape Town traffic for the first time in years yesterday afternoon and noticed that the Honda NC is quite a popular choice for commuting. Although I've never been much of a fan of the Honda NC and Kawasaki Versys looks wise there is no denying that is a great choice for a commuter. The comfortable seating position and power delivery of these bikes make them great in traffic. I currently commute on my GSXR 750 and its a horrible commuter, the hunched over seating position and where the power is delivered is not designed for this. And I have to drop my boy of at school aswell. When my DR is fixed I'll start commuting on that , pretty sure it will be way better.
  17. Looks interesting. Will check out some more of his stuff.
  18. Congrats, the Versys is a great bike, a real sensible choice that you can't reallygo wrong with. Hope you enjoy many happy miles on it.[emoji1690]
  19. Hey guy's I know I'm not suppose to post this here but since my phone has the Tapatalk App on it refuses to go onto the desktop site and connect me to the classifieds. I am not going to be able to do the CTCT this year so I'm selling my entry. Will see if I can get onto the desktop site tomorrow at work.
  20. Managed to get a ride in before it got hot this morning, planned a chilled "klim oor di plaas hekke" ride but it started so well that I stuck to the open road and dirt highways.
  21. I've tried and tried, but it just doesn't want to sink in.
  22. Took my boy fishing this afternoon, since the town dam is only about 800m from our new house we rode there with the bikes. After some time and no fish caught we headed to the other side of the dam where there's a short XCO track and my boy could do a couple of laps while I chatted to a mate who was also there with his kids.
  23. Braggat![emoji12] What a beauty mate, I would be able to behave on a monster like that![emoji1690]
