  1. Took the boy for a ride on his new machine yesterday. Got him a Kawasaki KLX110 to replace the 50cc 2stroker he learned to ride on.
  2. I that jump would bother me big time, especially since you land in the water, I mean how can you possibly get hurt......[emoji12]
  3. Jip, dit is die dorp se golf baan.
  4. Daar het jy dit nou.[emoji106]
  5. Hiers nog een vir jou Bennie.[emoji6]
  6. So I finally have something to post here again instead of liking everyone else's rides and talking k@k![emoji16] Decided enough was enough this morning, pumped the wheels and lubed the chain and set out for a ride. Man did that hurt, only did about 16km's but having last been on the bike over a month ago my legs and lungs were not very compliant. Was fun and therapeutic nonetheless and it was a beautiful morning to be outside. [emoji108]
  7. No man RR, you must get your priorities right! You always need a backup......and a backup for the backup. [emoji12]
  8. Lekker Meezo!
  9. Lol! Ja nee, julle moeilikheid is oppad![emoji12]
  10. Oh the humiliation, we have a Kawasaki in the yard......[emoji85]
  11. Hallo and welcome Catherine. There's alot to learn on here and many who can givs you advice, maybe even a few in your area to ride along with. Respect for trying the early morning riding thing, I'm not disciplined enough for that.[emoji1690]
  12. Lekker Wayne! Post some pics of the real deal once it has arrived. [emoji106]

  14. That is where I took the screenshot from.[emoji106]
  15. Calling @Hairy , here's a good deal for you. A bit far but you can make a trip of it.[emoji6]
  16. And a few more.
  17. A couple of bikes at the start and finish venue's that grabbed my attention for various reasons.
  18. And then Sunday morning we saddled up and headed out. As my wife was working it was just me and the little guy. The little guy was blown away by all the bikes as his never been at such an event. Aftedwards we rode down to the beach and on the way home stopped for milkshake with one final stop on top of Du Toitskloof Pass for that amazing view.
  19. So Saturday morning I had to tackle my SRAD'S blocked radiator in order to have a bike for Sundays Toy Run seeing as my DR is still at the mechanic with what now appears to be a stuffed CDI.
  20. So anyone in the Western Cape joining the Cape Town Toy Run tomorrow? I will be joining the mass ride from Grand West Casino with my boy on the back. Think being part of such a big group ride is going to blow his mind. [emoji41]
  21. That is a beauty, I'm not a BMW guy, but something about these S models appeal to me.
  22. Budget option thumpers I would recommend time and time again are the KLR and DR 650's. Budget not being an issue I'd definitely pay whatever I needed to get a XT660z.
  23. My bike is still broken, replaced the coil but that was not the problem. Took it to a mechanic friend of mine who is certain it's a faulty CDI. He didn't yet get round to my bike when I went to pick it up on Friday, but I wanted the bike at home for some other work on it over the weekend. He quickly tried a replacement CDI from a different bike and got it going, but the timing order on that CDI is way off so he'll try to find the right one this coming week. The above mentioned other work on the bike was to fabricate a set of pannier racks for my soft luggage bags. I'd baught the material a while ago but just haven't gotten round to it. Soon after I started I realised more my original plan wasn't going to work so I started making it up as I went along and this is what I ended up with. Not quite done yet as I got some advice to put a few eyelids on to secure rope to if I wanted to tie something down. Will post a few more pics when I get round to doing so.
  24. Such is life hey Bennie, it's a constant battle between "need to have" and "nice to have" and many times when you finally have some spare funds for "nice to have" it's not long before you have sell it again to help fund a "need to have". Of iets soos daai.[emoji6]
  25. Lyk lekker vettie, maar het nie geweet daar is "Blairwitch bos" in die Vrystaat nie. Dog daars net koring lande en vlaktes.[emoji6]
