  1. Daai is self lekker grondpad toer fietse, het nogals op n stadium na n TDM teenoor die Transalp gekyk, maar toe kies die DR my.[emoji6]
  2. So after a few certain posts from @'Dale recently I got so lus for a road ride that I decided to dust of the roadbike, lube the chain and set out for a not so early morning ride this morning. Edit: Credit where credit is due, that first pic was inspired by a few of @DJR 's recent posts.
  3. Hulle is d@nners mooi né Bennie, amper te mooi om vuil te maak.[emoji6] Daar het so 1290 by n gastehuis in Gansbaai gestaan vroër die week en toe my laaitie vra of ek so bike wil he kon my vrou my gesig goed genoeg lees om vir hom te antwoord "ja, pappa sal baie van so bike hou". [emoji38]
  4. As I was admiring the bikes on that rack I couldn't help but think how out of place my Axis would look between those beauties. [emoji1]
  5. Did a loop from Gansbaai via the main road to Uilenkraalsmond and along the beachfront back through Franskraal.
  6. Quick loop on our local trails before coming home to stuff my face. Between the wind and the climbing(a lot for me at this stage) I really chopped of.
  7. Exactly, I will fill it out a bit differently.....
  8. I'm so jealous! That Big In Japan kit from Sako7 has been on my wishlist for quite some time.[emoji108][emoji7]
  9. This SRAD of mine is quite the mix of parts. Original bike was a accident damaged 1997 750 carb that I rode in different guises for a couple of years before retiring it for the past 5years.It use to pull like a rocket aswell and I also got 280 on the clock with the custom top fairing I made. Baught a complete 600 SRAD with a blown motor earlier this year and built my motor and front end over. Unfortunately I was to lazy to change the wiring loom and it seems that even though the 750 motor runs on the 600's electronics the performance isn't what it should be. Read somewhere that there is a difference in timing between the two so I'll have to switch over that loom sometime.
  10. I say "we" were supposed to ride because as I started my bike up this morning and set out the gate at about 7:30 it was misfiring on one of the cylinders, knowing something had gotten wet from the wash I wasn't very worried as it would most probably dry out and run smoothly within the first 10km's. I stopped at the petrol station to feul up and check tyre pressure and there the f@cker wouldn't start up again, deadish battery! Had to running start and rode back home frustrated and sweating like a pig! This side of the mountain heats up early already. A bit later in the morning we loaded the little guy's KLX and the 3 dogs on the bakkie and set of to the field behind our suburb for him to do some riding, he's been begging me all week to go. He rode for almost an hour trying his luck, with some success, on the small ramps, he tried to wheelie but fortunately he doesn't know the entire recipe yet and he learnt that he can "meerkat"(stand up while riding).[emoji38]
  11. So yesterday was bike cleaning day for today "we" were supposed to ride.
  12. @CBlake how you like that sticker on the screen in the frontal pic?[emoji1787]
  13. .
  14. Lekker and not so lekker, but still lekker hey?[emoji6]
  15. Beautiful bike. Bianchi next to Colnago will always be my favourite of the classics. [emoji106]
  16. That is a hawt looking bike![emoji108]
  17. Am I seeing correct, is that an 600cc? I've only ever seen RF900's and RF400's here on SA roads. If I'm not mistaken they are grey imports here. I've never ridden one but I've always thought they looked like a really comfortable long distance bike.
  18. Another short quick one on our local trails this morning. My butt is hating me right now but it'll get better again. The pics were taken on the same spot in opposite directions.
  19. Went for a quick peddle around some of our local trails this morning. Didn't think 22km could hurt so much.[emoji26]
  20. Screw distance, you have quality over quantity right there with regards to the therapeutic side of cycling.[emoji7][emoji108]
  21. Going to be in Gansbaai for a few days between Christmas and new year's aswell, if you plan on doing the Klipspringer trails round that time I'd like to tag along.

  23. Congrats, if you offer a good, quality product you can expect this kind of positive feedback. [emoji106]
  24. If you're wife doesn't approve of that choice of decor of yours then maybe she isn't "the one" after all......[emoji12]
