  1. I'm so jealous! That Big In Japan kit from Sako7 has been on my wishlist for quite some time.[emoji108][emoji7]
  2. This SRAD of mine is quite the mix of parts. Original bike was a accident damaged 1997 750 carb that I rode in different guises for a couple of years before retiring it for the past 5years.It use to pull like a rocket aswell and I also got 280 on the clock with the custom top fairing I made. Baught a complete 600 SRAD with a blown motor earlier this year and built my motor and front end over. Unfortunately I was to lazy to change the wiring loom and it seems that even though the 750 motor runs on the 600's electronics the performance isn't what it should be. Read somewhere that there is a difference in timing between the two so I'll have to switch over that loom sometime.
  3. I say "we" were supposed to ride because as I started my bike up this morning and set out the gate at about 7:30 it was misfiring on one of the cylinders, knowing something had gotten wet from the wash I wasn't very worried as it would most probably dry out and run smoothly within the first 10km's. I stopped at the petrol station to feul up and check tyre pressure and there the f@cker wouldn't start up again, deadish battery! Had to running start and rode back home frustrated and sweating like a pig! This side of the mountain heats up early already. A bit later in the morning we loaded the little guy's KLX and the 3 dogs on the bakkie and set of to the field behind our suburb for him to do some riding, he's been begging me all week to go. He rode for almost an hour trying his luck, with some success, on the small ramps, he tried to wheelie but fortunately he doesn't know the entire recipe yet and he learnt that he can "meerkat"(stand up while riding).[emoji38]
  4. So yesterday was bike cleaning day for today "we" were supposed to ride.
  5. @CBlake how you like that sticker on the screen in the frontal pic?[emoji1787]
  6. Lekker and not so lekker, but still lekker hey?[emoji6]
  7. Beautiful bike. Bianchi next to Colnago will always be my favourite of the classics. [emoji106]
  8. Am I seeing correct, is that an 600cc? I've only ever seen RF900's and RF400's here on SA roads. If I'm not mistaken they are grey imports here. I've never ridden one but I've always thought they looked like a really comfortable long distance bike.
  9. Another short quick one on our local trails this morning. My butt is hating me right now but it'll get better again. The pics were taken on the same spot in opposite directions.
  10. Went for a quick peddle around some of our local trails this morning. Didn't think 22km could hurt so much.[emoji26]
  11. Screw distance, you have quality over quantity right there with regards to the therapeutic side of cycling.[emoji7][emoji108]
  12. Going to be in Gansbaai for a few days between Christmas and new year's aswell, if you plan on doing the Klipspringer trails round that time I'd like to tag along.
  13. Looks like your in for one hell of a great time. Enjoy it and gooi pics afterwards. [emoji106]

  15. If you're wife doesn't approve of that choice of decor of yours then maybe she isn't "the one" after all......[emoji12]
  16. Hi there @Buff_ZA , are you the same Buff from the WD forum perhaps?
  17. Took the boy for a ride on his new machine yesterday. Got him a Kawasaki KLX110 to replace the 50cc 2stroker he learned to ride on.
  18. I that jump would bother me big time, especially since you land in the water, I mean how can you possibly get hurt......[emoji12]
  19. So I finally have something to post here again instead of liking everyone else's rides and talking k@k![emoji16] Decided enough was enough this morning, pumped the wheels and lubed the chain and set out for a ride. Man did that hurt, only did about 16km's but having last been on the bike over a month ago my legs and lungs were not very compliant. Was fun and therapeutic nonetheless and it was a beautiful morning to be outside. [emoji108]
  20. No man RR, you must get your priorities right! You always need a backup......and a backup for the backup. [emoji12]
