  1. Woke up at 5am with the wind howling outside. Thought of a few excuses but decided not to be "that guy" so got up end headed out to meet my mate. His been quite active over the past 6months while I haven't been doing much so I had to work hard to keep up. Fortunately it's better to suffer with company than suffer in silence.
  2. +1 for Dragon's, they are very good with warranty issues. For interest sake did you do the claim through Kings or a different Lbs?
  3. Haven't been on this thread for a while so catching up a bit.Damn thats pretty! I would go aero over weight everytime, not for the aero effect but for how gorgeos those Propel's are.[emoji108][emoji7]
  4. Ek is nog jonk en waaghalsig Bennie.[emoji12]Wat die wind betref het ek maar swaer getrap huis toe en ongelukkig was die damwal wat hoog en oop in die wind sit my kortste pad huis toe.[emoji100][emoji26]
  5. No legs this morning but I pushed on and was rewarded with a nice headwind on my way home.[emoji45]
  6. Not today but yesterday. A short 20km ride turned into a 60km just because.[emoji16]
  7. Welcome and enjoy the forum. Lots of useful info to be found here. Lekker ry.[emoji106]
  8. Thanks guys, will give one of them a go then.[emoji1690]
  9. I'm interested in doing at least one enduro event in 2019, the "all mountain" part is the only thing that bothers me, would you say this would be doable on a 100mm XC hardtail?
  10. Overslept a bit this morning and missed the group. Still went out for a solo ride and did some exploring round Brandvlei Dam. For some reason I'm drawn towards bodies of water. Was really chuffed to find some banana bread waiting for me at home.[emoji108]
  11. So glad I didn't just ignore my alarm clock like most of the other mornings this past holiday. Wasn't a big one but it was another beautiful one on our local trails.[emoji108]
  12. Have you asked elsewhere? If not I could ask on the Wild Dogs forum for you?
  13. I see your in Durban, how far are you looking?
  14. They do look like quite an experience. [emoji106]
  15. Daai is self lekker grondpad toer fietse, het nogals op n stadium na n TDM teenoor die Transalp gekyk, maar toe kies die DR my.[emoji6]
  16. So after a few certain posts from @'Dale recently I got so lus for a road ride that I decided to dust of the roadbike, lube the chain and set out for a not so early morning ride this morning. Edit: Credit where credit is due, that first pic was inspired by a few of @DJR 's recent posts.
  17. Hulle is d@nners mooi né Bennie, amper te mooi om vuil te maak.[emoji6] Daar het so 1290 by n gastehuis in Gansbaai gestaan vroër die week en toe my laaitie vra of ek so bike wil he kon my vrou my gesig goed genoeg lees om vir hom te antwoord "ja, pappa sal baie van so bike hou". [emoji38]
  18. As I was admiring the bikes on that rack I couldn't help but think how out of place my Axis would look between those beauties. [emoji1]
  19. Did a loop from Gansbaai via the main road to Uilenkraalsmond and along the beachfront back through Franskraal.
  20. Quick loop on our local trails before coming home to stuff my face. Between the wind and the climbing(a lot for me at this stage) I really chopped of.
  21. Exactly, I will fill it out a bit differently.....
  22. I'm so jealous! That Big In Japan kit from Sako7 has been on my wishlist for quite some time.[emoji108][emoji7]
  23. This SRAD of mine is quite the mix of parts. Original bike was a accident damaged 1997 750 carb that I rode in different guises for a couple of years before retiring it for the past 5years.It use to pull like a rocket aswell and I also got 280 on the clock with the custom top fairing I made. Baught a complete 600 SRAD with a blown motor earlier this year and built my motor and front end over. Unfortunately I was to lazy to change the wiring loom and it seems that even though the 750 motor runs on the 600's electronics the performance isn't what it should be. Read somewhere that there is a difference in timing between the two so I'll have to switch over that loom sometime.
  24. I say "we" were supposed to ride because as I started my bike up this morning and set out the gate at about 7:30 it was misfiring on one of the cylinders, knowing something had gotten wet from the wash I wasn't very worried as it would most probably dry out and run smoothly within the first 10km's. I stopped at the petrol station to feul up and check tyre pressure and there the f@cker wouldn't start up again, deadish battery! Had to running start and rode back home frustrated and sweating like a pig! This side of the mountain heats up early already. A bit later in the morning we loaded the little guy's KLX and the 3 dogs on the bakkie and set of to the field behind our suburb for him to do some riding, he's been begging me all week to go. He rode for almost an hour trying his luck, with some success, on the small ramps, he tried to wheelie but fortunately he doesn't know the entire recipe yet and he learnt that he can "meerkat"(stand up while riding).[emoji38]
