  1. Don't be silly. The swoop have a vertical shock.
  2. I really have to go for a lesson or 2. I just don't know if a coach can help me overcome my fears. While going down the Gorge that day I actually told myself out loud... Don't brake. Only to brake again after the jump. The Gorge is a string of consecutive features and it just seems like I'm not naturally capable of doing them the way they're meant to be done.
  3. My last trip to hoogies I nearly saw my gat on the Gorge. Can't remember if it was the first or second jump after the rolling drop thing. I wouldn't know how to explain how I landed the bike but it was a lot like what Dylan Dunkerton does here except my version was NOT intentional. My rear wheel kind of skipped sideways as the rest of the bike straightened out while landing on the other side of the jump. I thought I was gonna die. But i didn't. I just rolled the rest of it slowly while I waited for my heart to descend from my throat back into my chest. http://i.imgur.com/evEkHpS.jpg So. My question is. How does one make sure the bike doesn't flick randomly to the side when popping off a lip? It happens to me sometimes.
  4. Oh you're thinking of that evil ledge thing that lands on a little ramp below. That one is above my pay grade. Talking about this one. The Hoogies one reminds me of it. I think they're kinda the same. Maybe this one is a little steeper off the lip. But they're both just rollers really. And they both roll into table styled jumps. Always lekker to session. http://i.imgur.com/AZCWmu5.jpg
  5. You know the little play area at Taal monument. By the wall ride and then there's a short drop on the right that rolls into a table? Is that steeper?
  6. Every time this thread pops up I go have a looksy. There's something about humor at the expense of someones dignity that doesn't sit right with me. I always feel terrible about it. Maar jislaaikit boet. Jou fotos maak dit te maklik om nie sleg te voel nie. Kneehigh legwarmers and a cameltoe. Guess that explains a few things.
  7. Rooi Willie. This was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw him. https://youtu.be/Nwful0FgwxA
  8. Hopefully some other colours too.
  9. Wow, advanced and kashima. congrats Alan. BTW the dropper height looks fine?
  10. Who does this?
  11. Absolutely. I just don't trust this f'king guy.
  12. Nice to see someone making a living out of it. You have to be passionate to stick with it. Did a few walls back in the day. But people were always shocked when I quoted them. I insisted they come along to buy the paint and supplies. Once they swipe and watch you spend hours on it. They start to realize...
  13. A few nights ago I was actually visiting and I asked: 'Why don't you just paint over this already?' The kid is 6 years old. There's more Ben10 stuff in here than anything else. Her response was: 'Can we?' So you can imagine that with all the hard work that goes into it. You'll be super reluctant to paint or remodel when the kids is older. Which as any parent knows. Happens quicker than you ever thought possible.
  14. Let me show you something About 6 years ago I did this for a friend that was expecting. Took me working about 3 hours every night for 2 weeks. For those of you wondering. Yes that's me. Yes I drew and painted it alone. Yes its something I use to do. and no I don't do it anymore. I'd love to theme up my kids rooms. But I can't see myself go through this again. http://i.imgur.com/Nnu1wPa.jpg http://i.imgur.com/aMeW9u3.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ighvLhx.jpg http://i.imgur.com/5k6RRBY.jpg http://i.imgur.com/XJM7d0C.jpg http://i.imgur.com/vnhCANs.jpg http://i.imgur.com/i9zLwt6.jpg http://i.imgur.com/rUtbTor.jpg
  15. some people go too far
  16. For those days when you can't decide if you want a full lid or just 75% At least the 2R was a 50/50 split. The bit that covers the ears should be part of the chin guard. If the 2R was a car it would be a convertable. All Giro did was install a sunroof.
  17. I remember reading an article where various bike companies were asked how they felt about 26 being replaced with 650b as the new smaller wheel standard. Most of them welcomed the change but one guy pointed out that 26 was an important wheel size for young shredders growing into bigger bikes. That it seemed rather short sighted to replace 26 all together. Always thought he made a good point.
  18. Considering the price, quality, warranty and service cost. A few more options in post diametre and travel and we could have a market killer for droppers in SA. Forking out 6k on a 125mm stealth reverb seems really silly now.
  19. You're right. With current pricing I'll probably have to sell my elbows too
  20. Love them or hate them you have to give credit to where its due. I would sell my knees for one of those.
  21. Seriously? The schizophrenic twist might not be anything new but I for one did not see that coming. It was probably the best pilot season of anything new I've seen since True Detective. if you're looking forward to season 2 I've already lost interest. But only because I'm hooked on Stranger Things. Once I'm done with that I'll check out the rest of Mr Robot or Preacher.
  22. Fikkadel! How did I miss that? Its even prettier than the new one. Avengers! Assemble!
  23. Never thought I'd look at a Merida with such lust.
