  1. I'm contemplating upgrading from my current 10spd Chorus groupset to a 11 spd Chorus. What I need to know is, is there really a difference between the two? (apart from the extra gear) Is it worth the cost? I'd like to hear from those that have it and race with it
  2. Are there areas thet need to avoided in the pretoria area?
  3. Light ride on Fiday. Hharties Challenge on Saturday and yes,..... Campus to Campus on Sunday
  4. Replace the elestic strap. I had a similar problem and I replaced the strap. Problem over
  5. So what do you ride that inspires you then? This inspires me Bianchi Inspires me!!
  6. I realaly dont like Giant. Their bikes are just so bland and uninspiring to me
  7. Bloem is too flippen cold for me to ride in winter. Give me Petoria any day
  8. Big H, Having a training room that looks thgis good is one thing but remember that you actually have to do something in it to get the results. So, is a sub 3 Argus on the cards for next year????
  9. And that, my frriend , is how accidents happen!
  10. I cant wait to watch SuperCycling tonight and see how the presenters deal with this topic. That's if they even discuss it! It would be quite lekker if they could open the telephone lines tonight for us to phone in and ask them the difficulty questions.....
  11. I used to train at Graeme's studio, it was called the Crankshop back then. The training is intense and very good, he's a super motivator as well. What I found was that when I did races, I was absolutly spent within the first half hour. I put this down to not having enough rest after doing such intense sessions during the week. Not sure of what his costs are now. You would need to contact him and find out but as I said the training is very good. Your cycling will definitly improve
  12. It's been more than 24 hrs since the Bela Bela bike race and still no results, Flip man, we can send people to the moon and back in less time than it takes racetec to post the results. I just dont get how hard this can be?
  13. Waffa.... if you had half a brain you'd have a head ache
  14. I'ts been a couple of days now since this tragic event occured and I still just can't accept it. I just cant process what has happened. I'm still expecting to see Adam at the Sat and Sun club rides. I can still see him racing up Klapperkop and then riding back down to see all the rest of us wannabe's still coming up. It's going to take forever ( if ever) to forget this impresionable young man. What a sad loss!!
  15. Yes, the prices are cheap. That's because the local retail industry here is ripping the average Joe, like you and I, off big time

    Bela- Bela

Lets just hope that the road is repaired before the race because in pervious years the route was riddled with potholes
  18. You know what, I've now come to the conclusion that this carnage will never stop. No matter how much we complain, protest, put up sign's etc there's nothing we can do to change the mentality of motorists. Even with a massive "arrive alive " campaign we still get a 1000 plus people dieing every December on our roads. This is the country we now all live in and we must just accept that this is the way it is. I will ensure that I never ride alone at any time (morning or evening), Will always ride in a bunch (not that this will gaurentee my safey either). Wear bright coloured cloths, fit front and rear lights to my bike, ride as defensivly as possible and obet trafic rules. I refuse, however, to stop partaking in the sport that I love so much!
  19. I'm always amazed why people would ask other people what they should buy with their cash. Who cares what other people suggest what you should by. Do your home work and by what you want/can afford. At the end of the day it's what you want to ride
  20. It must have been hard cause even Andrew M did not break 3 hours....
  21. The only time I go into CycleLab shop is to collect race numbers. I've always thought this shop was overrated
  22. Take it back and get them to fix it.. Then spread the word to others not to take their bike to this shop for services. I'm just so gatvol of poor service from bike shops. Right now, after reading this, I definitly wont be taking my bike their for a service.
  23. Is that Owen Hannie????
  24. Trust me friend, there are hills in this race and I would suggest ride as light as you can. I rode with Easton tubbies last year and will definitly do so again this year
  25. What I respect Nolan for is that he said up front that he took Perf Enhancing Drugs because is perfomance was not up to scratch. He did not hide behind the excuse that he did'nt know what he was taking or he took cough medicine, or his doctor prescribed something etc etc like nearly all others that have been caught. So yes, one needs to give him credit for his honestly.
