  1. Could it be to prevent the axle from undoing during pedaling? No idea honestly
  2. Specialized can do no right in the eyes of the haters on here. Even the support they offer in a time of crisis is despicable Come on guys....let it go just this once will you
  3. Love what they offer: https://www.blackbeardsden.com/
  4. High setting will definitely help with pedal strikes. I must admit that the number of pedal strikes was also noticeable for me on the Jeffsy but it’s probably to be expected in that setting. The bike I have now has a higher than normal BB which apparently has some drawbacks when cornering but to be honest I notice the absence of pedal strikes much more than I do any loss of cornering abilities
  5. Nope, never bothered with high
  6. Why not just get a full suss? Or would that ruin your yearly warranty claim streak? ????
  7. Yes thanks, well aware. It sold before my mate could get his finances in order. Gotta be quick to catch a Pyga...both on the trails and in the classifieds it seems
  8. Hi all. If anyone is aware of a large 110 for sale please give me a shout. Trying to find one for a friend and no better allrounder at the price in my opinion.
  9. I've done the charger 2.1 upgrade on the same fork as you and believe me....it's way worth it. Never knew my Pike could feel this good. And this is without the debonair upgrade still since I'm waiting for stock. Damper and installation was just under 5k in my case but not sure if the exchange rate etc pushed that up. Air shaft upgrade will probably be around the 1k mark give or take a couple of hundred ZAR
  10. Aah okay, that makes sense. Thanks man
  11. I'm talking about the current situation Andrew (post corona). Because you and I have been trying to get a 150mm version for almost a full month now or what am I missing? That's why you went ahead with the damper upgrade on my fork as we could not find any stock of the air shafts. Please let me know if this has changed since I'm VERY keen.
  12. "almost never backwards compatible. Spare parts is mess, most of their new shocks have large functional parts that are deemed 'non serviceable' so when it wears you'll have to buy a new one (which won't be available)" Doesn't seem to be the case in this instance - "You can also upgrade an MY20 air spring using the footnut and seal head spare parts rather than purchasing a complete air spring for your fork." Just my 2 cents but I've always found RS way more backward compatible than say Fox. I just upgraded my 2014 spec Pike with the newest Charger 2.1 damper which essentially gives me a 2020 Pike (at least when I eventually find stock of the new 2021 DebonAir spring). What other manufacturer allows that kind of backward compatible upgrades? Also, RS allows you to service your own suspension. I've had a Fox before and I had to pay a small fortune to get it serviced and it was a logistical mission...maybe that's changed of late?
  13. Goodluck finding the new DebonAir spring locally. Been trying everyone for the last couple of weeks including Cape Cycles themselves and it is not available locally...not sure when either. Might need to find a way to import it myself but with SRAM import restrictions that could be tricky. (Or I need ot be patient....which I'm not)
  14. I think you Landy (and non-landy) okes need your own thread....unless you have a landy with a Bogus paintjob (just joking gents)
  15. https://www.instagram.com/p/BuhFCmugCBX/?igshid=ok6bmrc5vcus
  16. Thanks all, I saw one of his paint jobs over the weekend and it truly is amazing but if I wanted it to be this difficult I would've just opted for Banksy
  17. If anyone know how to contact Anton/Bogus please can you msg me his contact info. I sent him a dm on here and instagram but that’s not the best way to try to het hold of someone.
  18. Maybe this has already been posted but I just received mine and I just think it is such a good deal. Some other sales available there as well https://www.on-lynecomponents.com/collections/components-bundles/products/amp-35-alloy-bar-and-stem-bundle
  19. Lyne has some of the best value for money components in my opinions. These look great man. PS, Just bought a handlebar/stem combo on their sale for R600...crazy
  20. Looks great man. Something really unique...well done and enjoy!
  21. This is trully the ugliest frame I think I've had the displeasure of laying my eyes on.
  22. "Good fun. Enjoyed it."...May I never be this underwhelmed with a new bike
  23. Nothing that a 200mm stem can't fix.
  24. No need to go abroad. RSA outlet sells that very Jeffsy for 29k which will work out way cheaper. I know this because I bought one http://za.yt-industries.com/cat/index/sCategory/563
  25. So why then do you have carbon Mr Mayhew!?
