  1. If you are based in western cape give me a shout, will give you some of my sram butter, I have a big pot!
  2. They are thicker than all my previous grips i've had. These are the 34,5mm version(the only size Dragons sport import) they feel comfy, been a bit sick so will give them a proper test and feedback in the next week. The support feel more supportive but time will tell. My local shop ordered them for me, according to Dragons Sport ECC in Cape Town are the only retailer around here, I had no luck from them after numerous attempts... so made another plan 😉
  3. After my ESI grips took a pounding at Imbuko this weekend, got these yesterday as a replacement. They feel supper 👌👌👌 enve 3dxc 34mm grips
  4. Howzit, I'm looking for a set of torque caps for a roval control sl front hub (MY18 model) As per the images ( yellow arrow)
  5. Thank you sir, edited
  6. A bit late to the temu party. i bought this one, almost a year on the bike now, did last years trailseekers , attakwas & banhoek last month and so far very happy. 3d printed padding holding up very well, was worried about the carbon rails and base but already tried and tested and keeps up well. Fits better than my spec Phenom elaston and the mimic version... https://share.temu.com/sqFWoucnFcB

  8. This thing broke me in 2023 🤣 2025 I wanted revenge but had to pass due to broken collarbone. this year, I'm ready for this beast! 👌 Beautiful trails and every climb is worth it for the descent that follows.
  9. indeed yes! That will be the plan for next year if health etc allows me. Especially now that I know what to expect after Bonniedale one gat give it a bit more horns from the start.
  10. Congrats on the sub 7 👌 Taking Alan's time from 2025 vs 2026 he only went 25min faster this year 2025 - 04:50:16 vs 2026 - 04:25:10 I'll take the 25min as a mental note to self
  11. My 1st Atta experience... Legs were fresh, the 5km warm-up to the start were a plus. The race, my initial goal was to finish strong and the competitive side i wanted to do a sub 7. A-batch start at the back as the plan was to start slow and keep HR in Z3. the field went out the blocks rather fast but paced myself and eventually caught up with a lekker bunch of guys (and girl) from a batch 15km in that also rode a lekker pace. 1st stop was at the KOM water point to refuel as i thought it was water point 3. nevertheless, I rode my own pace to water-point 4. That 1st climb after Bonniedale... MOER, what a mood killer! , and they kept coming! legs felt good coming out the kloof and I soldiered on. slight cramp on 105km but it was due to putting to much effort into the rolling hills so just spun it out on the last 2 climbs. Finish time was 6hrs 13min so very chuffed with the result. Weather was perfect I but think i will have to go back next year to experience a proper heat fest Blessed to not have any mechanicals or punctures, saw a few UCI men with rim/tyre failures. note to self, do long rides and then go climbing, the last 30km was brutal!
  12. 5min between batches I'm also in a and rest of my mates are B, might also cruise the 1st part and wait for them to catch up my first atta and also want to "survive" and not chase the sub6 for a silver medal
  13. @babse so gereed soos ek kan wees(darm meer myle ene tyd in gesit as van die ander wat saamgaan ) die weer lyk darm of dit in ons guns gaan tel so dankbaar daarvoor. begin more kramp pille drink dan is die dans aan. gaan jy ry?
  14. After yesterdays coffee ride I couldn't help to notice that everyone is running high tyre pressures compared to mine... (by feel) they running 1,6bar rear and myself 1,7 (according to my trusty floorpump gauge back home) but mine feels way softer when feeling by hand. Another mate pulled his ryder compressor with digital gauge, to a shock they all measured 1,6bar(rear) tempted to see why mine feels so soft by hand, plugged it into mine and the gauge read 1,1bar rear.... shocked I measured the front.... 0,9bar 🤣 Back at home i plugged the floorpump and the readings remained 1,7 rear and 1,6 front.... lets just say I am leaving the chat and invested in a proper digital gauge... 🤣🙈 now running 1,4 bar rear actual(2,2 on the floorpump) and 1,25 front.... removed the tyre liner and the control is way better and much faster 😉
  15. Atta prep - Worcester - Western Cape
  16. Just move to the front of the bunch and keep it on the gass so that they are unable to freewheel campag hubs on the road, chris king in the mountain.... music to my ears I remembered ringle hubs from many moons ago, they were so loud they scared bambi away, but i loved the sound. these days you get hubs that are a bit to loud and very annoying.
  17. Howzit, Try Dr Peter O'Farrel - Orthopaedic Surgeon - Hand and Upper Limb Specialist He did my collarbone last year, no complaints
  18. I run them higher due to all the rocks we have here in Worcester, lots of slate! On the other side of the mountain i run lower pressure for trailseeker(wellington) as there's way less rocks. the OP revered to the attakwas and what i've heard its rather rocky terrain so id rather run a slightly higher pressure and avoid punctures.
  19. Hi Nico, Aspen 2.4 WT front and rear They have a more "round" profile especially the sides and makes cornering much better and faster that the recons race. Tyre insert on the rear running 1.7 bar, front 1.6 👌 Sien jou by die Atta
  20. Hot & humid - Worcester 🤙
  21. 41deg and elevation hunting - Worcester
  22. Patrolling the streets and golf course in Worcester
  23. So I got my hands on a VERY NEAT spez riprock 20" that ticked the boxes. Alu frame, discs & Suspension fork. Must say I am surprised how well the fork works, not just for cosmetic purposes. Going from the 16" scott to the 20" I cannot believe how much confidence and skill he developed in just a few days. getting out of the seat and standing on the climbs i was mind blown!!!! I will change the twist shifter for a rapid fire next week when they open shop, other than that looking forward to see my little one race next year.
  24. Hi Malcolm, sure, will drop you a DM 🤙
