  1. Thanks will give the beans a try
  2. In PTA most proper coffee shops make a decent flat white, but don't expect a good espresso. Milk can hide some very bad shots I tell you!
  3. Correction, you don't swim yet... Think about what you will do in the future. In hind sight I perhaps should have got the 910 and not the Edge 500, as I now do a bit of everything.
  4. Eish OK. I know that the "3" model is the 1st one in the range to have dual bearings, as the "1" and "2" models have bushings or bearings and bushings. I bought a set of the "3" candy pedals that I still want to see if I can exchange for the eggies. So have yet to see how they perform. I never had issues with my eggies, save a rebuild or two in the few years I had them. But then again I didn't ride that hard/long/often as many of you do...
  5. Anyone tried the new eggies that run bearings and not bushings? Should be way more reliable
  6. If you need a barometric altimeter the 910 is you only option in that bunch. Remember the mapping on the 910 is only a bread crumb trail with an arrow, not a car GPS type map, for that you would look at the Edge 800 or their outdoor units. Depends what features you need at the end of the day.
  7. Do you have the 1st model R1 with the magnesium levers? I have this issue with mine, the bolts that hold the lever start to loosen, so watch out that they don't fall out. I have not tried it but I think Loctite on the bolts may help, as you cannot tighten them all the way or the lever does not return after pulling it. From my understanding it also has something to do with the insert through which the screws go, but no one or shop has been able to sort it out or explain the exact issue. Seems that with the mag levers that was an issue but the new models with carbon or alu levers are fine. I want to get some of the alu levers from crc with new screws and inserts and see if that help. LOVE the R1's but this issue is annoying.
  8. Awesome! Would it grind fine enough for semi-auto espresso machines?
  9. Says the one with shiny new Niner who drive a Lexus
  10. For a second there I though it was a croc!
  11. Nice! As Tim Don would say, "Dirty Fast"
  12. How much if I may ask? And how does it perform?
  13. bikeinn.com
  14. Well I'm 99% sure that was what it was. Too light in colour to be a Rinkhals I think (though snake colour seems vary varied), could have been a snouted cobra as they look similar, but from reading on the web, other people have also seen and taken pics of the moz cobra there so that's what I'm going with. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/110741-snakes-at-groenkloof/
  15. They have a shite load of them at the Woodlands branch. What I want to get is one of the Nathan Triathlon bags. So sweet! http://nathansports....ls/quick-change
  16. While some places have multi-use trails where right of way applies, I feel from a safety and especially a trail maintenance point one should stick to your designated trails. For example I always see tyre tracks on the hiking trails in Groenkloof. I don't know much about trails but I don't think that those trails were designed to take the cornering and braking of mtb tyres very well. I never run on the mtb trails there either, as the speed at which you can ride it, it just makes a colission pretty inevitable. Let everyone enjoy their bit of trail in their own time
  17. Cool. The rest, you guys must let me know what you want! I've not checked wiggle or evans yet, maybe we can order from them?
  18. I think the main thing is doing the PTA east area will to stick to the open roads, not that there's much singletrack anyway. But yeah dogs will be an issue. We did an early morning ride some time back and next moment "fluffy" was right next to me. Got a good fright! It's not the ones that bark that you need to worry about...
  19. Let us know what you find. Seems that it's not something that's widely available as a purpose built solution
  20. Definitely Dark `n Dirty. But I believe if you contact places like Groenkloof as a club you can also organise to ride there at night?
  21. Just let me know what you guys need and we can set it up. Reading the issues with shipping perhaps we need to look at splitting the shipping fee ?
  22. I have had a good experience a while back ordering from I think it was Wiggle using royal mail. THe Camelbak hip pack was at the PO allready within 10 days of ordering, not bad for a free service. Just had a little vat and clearance fee to pay. But it seems for the CRC order I want to do now the Parcel Force R99 is the best and most economical option?
  23. Reg so
  24. Getting my 910 from bikeinn, flipping good prices there!
  25. I am looking to do one. Allready have free shipping. Dubber88 may also join me. Want to order from Bike Inn as well if anyone is keen
