  4. Thanks guys! Ring will have to wait for now haha thanks V12. Trifle could work but will need to be more artisan than ultra-mel and canned fruit Love food but no chef myself, but I do have capable help so keep the ideas flowing!
  5. So lets see if you guys can help a guy out here. Met a girl that is a qualified chef, she brought me a choc mouse variation of her own in a 'blik beker'. I'd like to the give the 'beker' back to her with some form of dessert in it. Any suggestions on what I could make that would work well inside the beker or scooped into it?
  6. MXD most probably? How long do you guys flush the group on the Oscar before pulling a shot if it's been idle for some time? I flush till I see 2 streams come out with no more steam, also a change in sound.
  7. Lots of MTB'ers this side. Road wise try the Velo club, Cyclelab Lynnwood or Bruce Ryneke cycles as they have groups riding. Klapperkop is decent for hills and relatively quiet. Bocshkop/Lynnwood extension/Cullinan also popular. Fast and flat but no real shoulder, though atleast people can see you a long ways off.
  8. Would have to be a custom build IMO. Light frame with boutique parts, running tubulars with a spare wheelset. 140mm rear rotor. Single bottle cage. 1x11.
  9. Nice one Sanchez! How is the Compak doing? I'm still keen on one.
  10. Watch the whole 15 minutes it's mind blowing
  11. Enjoying Falling Skies. Takes a bit to get into but not bad all in all.
  12. 180 for a race at Babbas!? Dafuq? Go ride at a trail centre and have brekkie after with your lady as Norm suggests. Win-win
  13. Having some Sidamo from Aroma. Quite bright and fruity, enjoying it!
  14. Could make a nice little wall print
  15. Wide cups definitely help!
  16. Nice. Got 2 bags of beans from Aroma, a set of cappuccino cups and saucers (matt black with white on the inside!) and a new timer that works with AA batteries.
  17. Nice little bit of Xmas cheer from the guys at Vovo
  18. On the right side of the crazy/hot scale for me...
  19. Case in point - Maxine Keet of Columbo Coffee. She does all their cupping. 2013 SA Cup Tasting champ.
  20. Coffee troll level: God
  21. Thanks v12! Here's a cool channel from Home Barista http://www.youtube.com/user/homebarista/videos
  22. Thanks for the tips! Only have a manual dishwasher here and I wouldn't trust her with coffee gear so I'll have to clean em Did unplug, just plugged in again for it to heat up when flushed. Scrubby is a good idea thanks. Will grab a pick for the gasket - will get a new gasket in the new year as it is brittle. Hardware shops should stock the picks? Steam wand is round - will the spanner grip?
  23. Lekker! They still on special?
  24. Good idea on the steam want there thanks. Not sure how much the Pully helps on the screen's outside? Mine was dirty on the inside but clean outside. Craig suggested I get myself a precision screen, apparently no dirt can get underneath it?
  25. Loving the new QOTSA album - very different from Songs for the Death but loving the vibe! The Vampyre of Time and Memory :
