I agree, with it being better with towbar on. but i still think it's stupid that the bumper needs to be cut!

No scratching?

A mate of mine has a 3 series coupe (current model) and the car has a removable towbar, but in order for it to work, the bumper has to be cut , or so he's been told. I'm trying to get this sorted as I'm carrying our bikes all the time, and he can't transport bike unless I'm riding too. Do any of you guys have a similar car, with a removable towbar fitted, without a cut up bumper? or what other bike racks are you guys using that work. ideally he's wanting to use a Thule express to transport bike around not any boot carriers. (i know Roof is an option, but he's trying to avoid that route) Thanks

I've tried pm'ing on the hub, emailing them, querying on their website, but no response in almost a month. was quite keen to try it out...... was.... and opening at 8 is dumb, once summer's in full swing it's light from 530, if not earlier!

lots of other nice touches at VG. nothing really new, just older things "polished" up a bit. very nice. adds a lot more flow to the routes. looking forward to the Magalies Adventure (the "Nandos Magalies")

Thanks Headshot Jhb area. my concern in this case, is ruining a weekend by having to get used to the tyres while there. so after much thought, and some advice from my lbs today...leaving the Geaxs on and I'll fit the Contis when back and give them a good bashing in at Groenies or Van Gaalens.

So, I've been talked into buying a set of Conti Mountain Kings, (using Geax Saguaro at the moment) I've got the tyres.... now when's best to fit them? I was told , "great tyres, great grip, ...grip takes some getting used though..." thing is I'm going to Mankele for the first time this weekend (been planning this for months) ...am I better off riding with familliar tyres and wait till I'm riding a place i know, to get used to the Conti's....or is it no that different?

pity, but it's not that bad is it? on another note, saw a few people , kids and adults, with no helmets there yesterday .... smart!

Just thought I'd let you guys know Eric's put bridges over the water crossings on the River Trail, and as much as I LOVE the water, it's great for Winter! to come out of there with dry shoes and socks in the cold is awesome, and I think it'll help heaps re congestion during the nandos magalies adventure in august. also I heard about a new trail he's going to start building in the next couple weeks that'll take you to the top of the mountain (behind the Greek Church) which by the sounds will be a climb of note , but to an amazing trail at the top and an awesome downhill I'm assuming Pics a bit small i know, but I'm doing this in a hurry
