  1. Just a little rant: Why did the e bikes start with the seeded groups? Don't think I hate anything more than a e-bike in a race. Let them start before everybody. Don't see why you want to do a race on a e bike anyway.
  2. As a venue there really is no other mtb race that comes close When judging the route you need to consider what the organisers had in mind. When they changed the venue and route I remember reading somewhere that the focus is not on a very technical hard route for the professional amateur but rather on the riders that want to transition from shorter to longer routes. In the light of this I think the route was perfect last year
  3. Would not put it pass them to offer Cippolini a contract to come out of retirement. They can also ask Richard Virenque to come as a climber and relief Meintjies out of his contract. I'm sure a local team like Road Cover of Alfa Body Works in western cape will make a spot for on form Louis
  4. David can you explain the "model fit" please?
  5. More like would they waste another year with him............judging by his results over a good amount of months now
  6. He will still out perform Louis Meintjies well into his seventies......
  7. So who is coming to DD to retire next season?
  8. David it is within the 1st 30min of the podcast if I remember correctly Thanks for letting us share ideas and considering it
  9. My chart does not look like yours. I can see my model fit but there is no decoupling % displayed. Any settings I need to change?
  10. David you got a mention on the TrainerRoad podcast this morning by the way....... You mentioned you were going to look at customizing the min time used to calculate est FTP. Would it be possible to have an option where you can see the est FTP per ride as well. Could be useful to have this figure when for instance you do a FTP test on TrainerRoad to reference it with the est FTP for that session. Always good to have more than 1 estimate to work from
  11. David I have a question regarding the estimated FTP. Is the estimated FTP shown given per ride or does the algorithm work over time (in the case of a decrease over time)?
  12. Thanks for the update! I'm keen to see your opinion over a month period so pls update regularly. From what I can gather whoop is the most complete system currently when you want to look at your body stress as it takes your HRV 24/7.
  13. David does your calendar always sync with strava? What if I want to delete a ride from strava but would like to keep it on your calendar?
  14. I'm not a CF fan at all and can't stand Sky or whatever their name is now but this is not cool. He is an exceptional cyclist and I will miss at the TDF this year, Hope he makes a full recovery
  15. David if I enter a new FTP does the system backdate the fitness data or does it take the new FTP into account for future activities

    Whoop

Anybody here use it? Looks cool and they have a large nr of sportsmen on their system. Monthly charge a bit steep In my opinion ($30). Apparently you get the whoop strap for free when you join but highly doubt they will send it all the way to SA for free
  17. Where can we find the full daily results?
  18. Froome is not at the top of my "dick head" list anymore. Sam Gaze is at the top of that list by a mile now. Looking forward to see the Sky dynamics in this year's tour
  19. Will Flanders be on tv sunday? Probably my fav classic. According to many pro riders also the toughest

  21. Correndo-Circus must be putting their hands deep in their pockets to keep van der Poel. Can only imagine there are a few teams that want to sign him.

  23. Lill & Morath almost put 12 minutes into 2nd place! Talk about wrapping it up on day 1 (touch wood).
  24. What did you end up paying landed if I may ask?
  25. Was so glad it was a easy ride. My fitness would not have made a technical 50km. They succeeded 100% in their aim for this race in my opinion. It was the perfect progression to longer routes for peeps coming from the shorter distances. Spier was a great venue as well
