  1. Miss those A bunch race reports too. Best thing on a Monday morning.
  2. My earliest memories was Crux from TCS and the North vs South Argus challenge. Big H working in Mozambique and riding his tandem up and down those crappy roads.
  3. Of course, Coilek won Milan Sanremo last year, one of the spring classics in k@k weather.
  4. Hell, AL is 200 big, I see that some of the VA's and VB's riders have come down into the short 103km race. Should be interesting, as there are no major bumps to go over. Best we hope for a windy day
  5. Could have been going out to the illegal miners trap underground?

    I am always here.

If VA aren't beating A's in a race, then they are wasting their monies on licenses. Hell I am 18 years older than most of those VA youngster, maybe I can start racing VC next year. Don't think so, the Argus might bump me into B again. (what ever this character means)

If you have a VA racing license, and your Argus seeding is 12.5 and you don't make the VA group due to their quote been filled, you don't automatically make the next seeded group A, but rather B that has a seeding weight from 8-13.

Wesley, Its not that they have bumped you from VA to B seeding, your PPA seeding equals that of a B group rider. There are plenty guys that buy a VA, VB or VC license just to have that earlier start, except the Argus does not work that way! In simple terms, you are the weakest link in VA, ride in B.

Agreed, I put on 25kgs, should I still be in A bunch?
  11. A lot can happen in a year, or even 3 months of fitness. I actually think that the new seeding rules benefit all of us, as the bunches are evenally matched. You wont see someone in the Elite bunch getting dropped on hospital hill unless its a mechanical.
  12. Contact the agent directly, speak to Alan the boss man. Very helpful guy.
  13. Piesang (Ridley) and Boerie (Look) are both strong riders, however the route was not ideal for a break away, so it was always going to be a sprint finish. Only certain guys were prepared to attack but nothing came of it. We are missing the Complete Cyclist in the A bunch. They rode tactically the whole of last year. R4S and Carnival will be the same unless its windy.
  14. Sell me your entry, I need about 10 extra entries
  15. Hey Marc, good to see you riding SRAM
  16. Rolf Prima in the USA rent wheels for IM
  17. You got it wrong, I rode into the bunch
  18. 100m for 11km, flat ride into the finish. So a sub3 94.7 is the same as a Argus sub3?
  19. A sub 3 is a sub 3, however feels better if the race is over 105km and at least 1000m of climbing. Ave speed would be 35km/h and above.
  20. Nr 17 and next year we come of age. Was invited to the 94.7 ViP tent after the ride because of the loyalty towards the race, but was the only cyclists there. So left and went home.
  21. Do they have your time recorded as the first 2 were not timed by Racetec and MCC lost all the times. If you had some sort of certificate or letter from SlowMag, you need to contact HSP and Racetec. I have done all 16 and received an invite to their VIP hospitality tent after the race for my loyal support over the years.
  22. There was a K@K huis of toilets at the Route66 venue, only 200m from the other toilets.
  23. For the last 3 years they have seeded me in VD, yet I am not a licensed rider. So if I want to be reseeded, do I have to pay the R150?
  24. I should have followed you. My babalaas was bad.
  25. Yebo, hope she gets a decent bike now.
