I wasn't at this year's Sani2C prize giving, but I remember that a lot of last year's podium population were hammered too. Climbing up onto the stage was a real challenge for some. Why are you singling them out? They didn't complain about Burry's kit @ Tulbach and they are not complaining about the jacket from the Epic. (Its clear who you support and who I support...) But I agree with you, they aren't going to win the Epic unless they significantly up their game. They are consistently outclassed by Burry & Christof.

Everybody will be interested to know what the set weighed and who built the wheels? I dont have a comment on the choice of spokes, except that it seems they have weight weenie tendancies. How much do you weigh?

There are several riders from Begvliet that join us as we come down Main Rd.

Trying to get an Access Card is more of a PITA than it needs to be. Mine expired, so I went to the Westlake office to renew it. But they have moved, so I went to the office closer to the forest. It seems that their requirements have changed since last year - you now need 2 x ID photos and proof of residence and the card has gone from R200.00 to R300.00. Needless to say, I didn't have photos of P.O.R. so I left empty handed. I had to chuckle at the level of security required to go and play in the forest.

Sorry to hear that! I am also in Claremont. There has been quite a bit of dodgy activity lately. Our sliding gate was lifted off the motor so they could get into the car port a few nights ago. Our cars were locked, but our neighbours weren't so lucky... The cops got some guy loitering around the neighbourhood the other night. He caused such a scene by screaming like a woman being attacked. Scared the hell out of me!
