The practitioner I see has hands of steel and penetrates deep into the muscle. As mentioned my someone previously, stretching is highly under rated. My bike came with a tall top cap, so I took it back to the LBS and asked for a flat one. So they rummaged around their bits and pieces bucket and found one that fitted. Not all flat caps fit all headsets. ie its got to press on the right places to seal and load the bearings etc.
