  1. I just saw this on Twitter: Team Bonitas ‏ @Team_Bonitas Our condolences to @tylerday21 @Dusty_Day & their family on the passing of Juan van Heerden, tragic news https://twitter.com/#!/search/realtime/Juan%20van%20Heerden Does anyone know what happened?
  2. I think I left the car park @ about 3:15 and was out again @ about 4:30 or so. Up Fairy Garden, then the fire road and up to the saddle, down and across level 5 for a bit and then down the single tracks again. It was a very quick whirl around as I was under time pressure. It was so nice to be there. I havent been in ages!
  3. I had a good chuckle and thought of this thread when I saw rider with a jump bike & potty helmet walking up that berm yesterday afternoon.
  4. Nespresso is the first one that comes to my mind. And then Lavazza (I bought an old model a while ago and really like it) They both use pods which come in different strengths and blends
  5. Everyone does their own thing over winter. There are night rides in Tokai on Wednesdays, but haven't joined any. I am still in my easter egg phase, so not really back on the bike yet...
  6. C & H ?
  7. We ride between Sept/Oct & March on Tues & Thurs mornings (5am - 7am)
  8. They just pass the increase in cost on to the passengers. They are the ones who get upset
  9. How much training (on average per week) do you think is required? Over how many weeks? I am very interested in your answer
  10. Beautiful morning! It must have been a fantastic ride
  11. +1 Saddles come in different widths, just like everyone's sit bones. The Tundra is a narrow, hard flat saddle @ 125mm Gobi is 130mm, but is nicely shaped Antares is 142mm Most Specialized saddles come in different widths. So find a shop with an Assometer and choose an appropriate saddle.
  12. Accommodation is booked! Looking forward to it!!
  13. Cancellara wasn't there to spice things up. He is usually an interesting factor
  14. From the Enve website: The new Smart ENVE System 6.7 is specifically designed for the performance driven Triathlete and Road Racer. The new Smart ENVE System 3.4s are specifically designed as a multi-purpose wheelset that can be used in virtually all weather conditions, terrains and disciplines. The 3.4s, being shallower, offer maximum performance characteristics for professional and novice riders alike in mountainous terrain, or when the wind conditions are too strong for the 6.7s
  15. How about the Enve Smart System 3.4 ? Now available in clinchers It will be interesting to see how they stack up against the Firecrests
  16. Thanks for posting that. I have been trying to find out who did that bike since I saw it the other day. Love it!
  17. He was intrigued by the Scott in February and has since bought and loving the RM This is an old resurected thread
  18. That would be €20,000 Its not that different or special from a 'normal' build either! Di2 and Mavic SLR wheels 'The Lamborghini connection is brought in via the logo on the headtube, handmade suede saddle and handlebars, and airbrushed Lamborghini Argos Orange seat tube detail - the same colour as the Aventador LP 700-4' So there is no 'engineering value' just Lambo's name.
  19. Is this their response to the Specialized McLaren Venge? (equally ridiculous)
  20. Tread mag did a test on an Ispydafly Mettle Titanium 29'er with one of those forks. They did love it that much
  21. Now that the Sani2C is run in May, its much cooler than it was in March. I survived on 2 bottles between stops last year. And I usually drink a lot when I ride/use a Camelbak. Also, don't pack your pockets with too much food. There is a lot to eat @ each water table. I finished each day with bars and gels still in my pockets. Hopefully USN is still involved because they hand out Recovermax at the finish line and sometimes bars, gels and Crampstop around the race village.
  22. Man arrested following New Zealand 'bike rage' incident captured on film : Road.cc A mountain biker in New Zealand who set out to capture his ride on video is getting a few more views on YouTube than he might have expected after becoming the victim of an alleged assault carried out by another rider.
