  1. We should have a Fat-Oke-XC series with riders that must have a minimum body weight.
  2. Surely it will work in a helmet in place of the faom strips? ????
  3. You have to be much more specific what needs to be done. And in what part of ZA are you?
  4. Because wheels like this is slightly difficult to ride with.
  5. I am almost exactly where you are man - just on the worse side. Not lekka. LETS DO THIS.
  6. Last I heard its not safe over weekends. Dont know if something has been done about the dangerous elements. The cycle path itself runs through Paarden Island Industrial area and that stretch is dangerous - people looking for affirmative shopping oppurtunities and with many factories closed it will be even worse. You can bypass that area and ride on the R27 which is a bit better but then you have to compete with the traffic on one of the bussiest roads in the Cape. IMO, enjoy your holiday and stay with your family. BUT, if you want to MTB, thats a whole different conversation and you will see little of your family.
  7. You had a look at Francois du Toit's frames? If he is still building.
  8. I also think that the bigger wheels create a much bigger gyroscopic effect than the smaller BMX wheels - therefor more force is needed to 360 the bigger bike.
  9. I think some people who don't want it there is thinking of a skate park where "all the rebellious teenagers hang out". My mail was sent. When this will go ahead, please let us remember to not have a naked bike ride there otherwise there will be alot of binoculors pointing from a certain direction. And the complaints will only come AFTER the event while secretly waiting for the next one.
  10. Can you guys deliver to a Postnet? Home delivery is very difficult for us.
  11. This explains the mtb industry - IMO.
  12. Your profile gif explains it perfectly.
  13. Too many and too easily people say replace, but you should have replaced it after the first fall. Yes your head does not hurt because the helmet did what its supposed to do. Best is go to your LBS and fit a few. Look first for best fit and thereafter budget, colour etc. And don't worry about how you look in the lid - everyone looks k@k in an open face.
  14. I agree with you. But lets see what happens. Thumbs crossed.
  15. After watching the footage of the Nelspruit robbery, I/we need help. With so many bikes these days that leave the owners because of hi-jacks, house theft, store theft, scams, and so on, is there no way to install a gps type of tracker on bikes to relocate them? Yes cars have them because there is a constant supply of electricity due to the battery. But surely in this day and age with all our fantastic technology there must be a solution for bikes? Available now already is electronic shifting. (Please don't let us one day have elec braking). So putting some sort of battery in your bike somewhere is possible. And I understand also that a car have thousands of places to hide a tracker and a bike don't. But we have clever people and I think it is possible. Is e-bikes the solution. (Please don't start with shooting e-bikes down. Go moan somewhere else). There are some very good ways of preventing your bike from leaving you- some work, some don't. But no way of getting your loved one back once missing. Just hoping SAPS finding your bike is not good enough. Come on guys. There must be a solution.
  16. A piece of plastic and clothes peg on the chain stay - done!
  17. Since when are we in CT not part of the Western Cape anymore? Mr. Africa is Western Cape Traffic Chief - or did I miss that memo?
  18. We are not lucky with our orders from CRC - its supposed to be that way. You are just unlucky with yours. And DHL are good with delivery times, but 3 - 5 working days while it needs to go through customs, no way.
