  1. That rain is coming around thursday I think (by looking at the satellite pictures) if so…we should be fine, although it will 100% get everything nice and moist for the event… The problem might be the cold front that is supposed to hit some time after the heavy rain on thursday/friday… Hopefully we catch the gap…might even be sunny for a bit😅 But you definitely arent sneaking a quick mid week practise session anything after wednesday though.
  2. Thanks guys, was fun. And thanks for the work you put into getting more people into the lighter side of MTBing.
  3. Wow…you sure you are even qualified to ride a harley?😅
  4. I have one of those on my enduro bike. Amazing fork.
  5. Nice bike! i dont want to be that guy though… BUT….. you paid a lot of money for that obviously…why does it have an old Lyrik on it?😅
  6. Also don't have tassels…
  7. I get you franna, i also rolled 3-4 grips onto my cricket bats haha. Girth matters…and like @Hairy would say….”she said”😁
  8. Also…KK is in kZN, do people still live there?😅 (Disclaimer: I say that as someone who was born and bred there, even though I was eventually schooled in the big smoke and now live in the last stronghold of the WC haha….and I really, REALLY don't like going there anymore…for any reason.
  9. Riding jonkers after not doing it for a while is almost what some ppl would describe as a religious experience. There is just something about that place, the mountains, the quiet, the views, the exposure on some of the trails. It makes you feel….small, but also calm and most importantly….100% in the moment. I almost like that I can only go there once in a while. It makes it even more of an experience.
  10. Old age… thanks for reminding me, ill forget later.
  11. The bumper is nice. Thats my pet hate on my fav grips (Deathgrips / Bartenders). One minor fall and they look secondhand on the sides. But i use them due to their wider diameter. can anyone share some insights into what these measure in diameter? Edit: nvm, ek lees soos my gat…it’s right there - 31.5mm.
  12. ox wagons made it over the drakensberg…they also cant puncture😅 I’m pretty sure you can walk into any specialised store or cyclelab even in the big smoke and find some Butchers and Magic Mary’s. You just need to walk past the lycra and crossmarks. As with most things…the good stuff is kept in the back😁
  13. What shoulder? 👀 Eks in soos Gin. Even if just for the light.
  14. I love dhrII. Im hoping the DHF forces me to learn how to lean the bike more then haha. Shoulder feels fine..i mean it’s attached still so i guess it works haha, i’ll see this weekend…my first time back on the bike. Funny enough my wrist which initially felt fine is now acting up and in a brace. I turned 40 on the 5th,so I can now blame Old age?…prolly needs some of that q20 @Hairy puts on his brakes for lube. Think ill ride ‘the mattress’ just in case though. But i’m entered for the enduro again on the 28th so even if I have to do the light…im going. So much fun.
  15. Still want to try it, plenty of people run them front and rear at the ‘duros lol i think the GOAT also runs this setup when he doesnt have his signature Assegai up front on the DH wc circuit.
  16. Yea pretty sure nino would have taken dhf,dhr combo at last years epic haha
  17. You are obviously more skilled than I am lol. That ‘death-gap’ is very unsettling for me haha. Lean-oh-****-im-falling-GRIP!!!!-oh-I-wasnt-falling afterall that being said…i now have a DHF on my hardtail because I had it lying around…and the ASSguy on my enduro bike, so maybe i will grow some (more) hair on my chest 😝
  18. I finished it yesterday afternoon and took it for a quick ride and i’m afraid I made a terrible mistake…. My full squish bike might not get used a lot now haha. The Paradox is SO good
  19. The one was mine….and i mean the price of the other one is what it cost to put together new. Yes there were differences but very similar spec…just slightly different applications. That bike being priced the way it was helped me sell mine im my opinion lol. the person who bought it was very stoked…and i’m happy ot went to someone who will use it for its purpose. So i’m very happy he is happy.
  20. The right tire for the job does however give less skilled plonkers like myself more confidence in the bike in certain conditions though. A DHF vs Assegai up front is a major difference in front wheel predictability for someone like myself who cant really get a bike horizontal to the floor in a corner. Most people cant anyway. Yes it rolls slower…but it has more predictable grip across the tread pattern, feel is everything. So a tire does make a difference even at lower skill levels imo.
  21. We can close it down quickly…just need to steer it in the direction of “comments on classifieds” haha. That phrase is listed somewhere on the server for auto detection and is the quickest way to get a thread locked 😂 ps: try it out…make a topic..double dare. Guarantee it wont last 1 page refresh😉. Nigerian-prince-hot-babes-available-spam bot topics have lasted longer on here
  22. Imo they should tread carefully…they are getting a rep. They should acknowledge a good deal when they see it and get it and THEN sell it for what they want…not undercut a 50% discount by another 30-40% lol. I guess they can do what they want though….and desperate ppl will still sell their bikes when cold hard cash is flaunted under their noses. Bit I have an opinion about BM’s methods and ethics and it is all on them…not me.the thing is…if you know you know…and you now know everything on their site was acquired at 30-40% under the listed price. So why pay what they want? Thats why they also do the ‘make an offer’ thing. If you offer them 20% under they are still in the green.
  23. webuy bikes is BM's buyer on here
  24. well it was technically a 30k bike lol. but yes. but ill sell a 150k bike for 75k if i want it to go...thats just how i am.
  25. fyi, listed a bike on here for R15k on Tuesday, sold it this morning for R15k. .....also, since we are sort of ragging....webuybikes offered 9k haha. anyway, I usually list things on here for around 50% what i paid for it - expectations fully in check. If you have bought stuff from me you'll know sometimes you'll buy stuff that is basically new for half price....like this bike I sold. Happy buyer, happy seller. win win. If you want to sell the thing...sell it, don't try and make your money back - you wont. I'm not sentimental either. Out with the old...in with the new.
