Why didn't the race office told that to Grapkas, instead of saying they do not know.

According to me, don't you buy a bike to use it in competition. Who will spen R 15 000 + on a bike and then not use it in races? Oh they mean you buy something like the Madone to ride to the corner cafe.

Mallo I challenged the pro teams before with that and didn't get any reaction. As far as I know all the pro contracts have a clause that if a rider get caught using illegal substances his contract will be terminated immediately, irrespective of who requested the testing.

What is strange to me that with all this rumours not one of the sponsors of the pro teams demanded that all the riders in their team be tested and then come forward and say "our riders is clean". They sit back and wait far the bubble to burst and will then fire riders, but in the meantime don't do anything to protect their interest.

I don't only talk about the elites. Even the A-bunch finishing with some of the shorter distance riders finishing as well. Especially on a finish like the D2D. If you take that first turn into the gate after that little down hill at sy 45km/h and a funrider is in the middle of the road at 15km/h it might be a painfull meeting.

Well next year hopefully the roadworks will be completed. That will help a lot. I also think that the finish should be changed, as that three turns inside the parking area is not conductive for a spectacular sprint to the finish. If they keep the finis as it was last year they should consider to stop the funriders to enter the parking area when the leaders in the diferent categories approach the finish.The last is the marshalling that must improve and all the marshalls and lead vehicles should know the exact route.

If you get someone that is trained in sport massage it really make a difference. The only down side of it is the cost involved to do it often.

If the D2D kiddies ride is the same it will be a good one for the kittle ones. Type of adventure race inside the dome. Apparently the kids had lots of fun last year while I died on the road.

I wanted to enter the kiddies race, but they reckon I'm 30odd years to old. Last year the entry fee was R 30 and the received a tog bag, sweets and chips. on race day there were colddrinks, icecream, strawberries and lots more. Unfortunately my daughter had a crash on the second lap around kyalami last year, so I'm not sure if they will do it agin this year. Dad is to nervous.

I stay in Alberton and work in Sandton. Hectic enough to dodge the taxis in my car. Won't dare to be on that road with my bike.

Jedi, if in doubt change it. If you get a flat in the race it is to late. My opinion is that if something bothers you sort it before the race. Then you can concentrate on your racing. You don't need something in the back of your mind and clip a wheel. I think if the problem is more mentally than a problem with the tube, get it out of the way.
