French there is a Formula One Hotel in Alberton, about 7 KM's from the start.

That is about 15 minutes later than what you planned. Who all will be doing the "faster" lap?

Suggestion Start the fast lap at 5am and then the newbies can join for the second "cooldown" lap at anout 6:45

I got a thing about Suikerbos.. not the up but the down.. same as butchers. So wil probably join you on Saturday morning. One question however, why so late. It means first lap will be done by 8:30 and second one by 10:30 and I still need to do some painting on Saturday.

Amateur If you say slow ride what speed do you have in mind? I need to start doing some longer slow rides so will be interested in doinf the 2 laps thing. Would you be doing the lido route twice or what route you have in mind for the second 50?

BigBen I think you can do something about it. Contact the management of Harmony and Mr Price and explain to them what happened. If those two riders are still part of them they will probably know who it was and nake the necesarry action. I helped some juniors a couple of years ago and always worned them to behave on the road as they will always use similar routes with the same kit and if they piss off a motorist today they might come of second best tomorrow. And believe me if one of them misbehaved on the road and the next training ride he gets to ride on the mountainbike he quickly learn to behave after 80 - 100km. Today that youngster gave the motorist the finger and next week that same motorist pass him and knock him off his bike every one say " shame poor cyclists" but he is looking for it.

Beee there is nothing wrong with January babies. The only thing is they are very head strong. I have my hands full. And one must handle with care. They easily feel you hurt them. When is your birthday?

Take a break. If you already hesitate about licencing you won't enjoy racing vets next year. Firstly it will be a drag te get on your bike to train everyday as you would like to do something else with that time. Secondly when you race you would probably not put in the effort needed and end up dropping from the bunch and then not enjoy the race anyway. Go ride in the open A-bunch with the "Fun" riders. In a year you might feel like racing again.

Just came back from the expo. Can't see the foto here, but if you look at the tall girl from the rear it almost look like the girls on the teazers billboards. If that hotpants was any smaller she could just as well not wear it. Like said before might fit on a beach but in my opinion out of place at the expo.
