  2. https://www.alpinestars.com/collections/mbk-shorts/products/hyperlite-v3-shorts?variant=31632443015226 If you can find them locally. Get a pair.
  3. Brands I know that do big sizes. Cannondale Trek Canyon (<- mine is a 2XL - I'm 1.97m) Google is your friend!
  4. 100% correct, that is what the Distributor must do for the retailer. Keep stock based on historical and industry experience, and maintain the integrity of the supply chain. Take forward cover and work with the manufacturer to make the relationship and the business work.
  5. The fact that this question must be asked is probably the saddest post on the hub today! Massive fail for a great bike! Obviously SA isn't a big market for the Canadian brand but they failed to keep an eye on how the brand was being run locally and how quickly 'they' found out that maintaining a brand needs a good network of retailers to sell, service and support the customers investing in the brand. Real pity.
  6. Its essentially how the used car market operates...buy the car at the lowest price possible (as a dealer) and then clean it up and list it for what the market on average will accept...
  7. If I understand your question...you will need to adjust the aluminium leg up on the one side.
  8. I run Ikon at the back 2.2 and Ardent up front 2.3 lots of grip and braking grip is very good. The tyre doesn't let go easily. Back in the day I ran an ikon and nobby nic 2.3 upfront also a great combo. Given your internal width I would run a 2.1 at the back and a 2.3 upfront and maybe run them a touch harder to compensate for the lightbulb effect.
  9. Agree on all the above - while I haven't run Sram 12 speed I have run Sram before, but the XT 12 speed is ace! I am running an X01 cassette.
  10. Orange sealant --->> not a good experience for me. Dries too quickly and sticks to everything (inside tyre walls, levers, hands..).
  11. For me it was trial and error around how the bike reacts at different pressures. Started at 8 ® and 7 (f) and settle on 6 and 5. As you know the tubeless set up allows for lower pressure and it works so well on our crappy roads. Less fatigue on the hands and arms. I place handling and comfort as number 1 priority on longer rides. I prefer the softer front and the confidence in my current set up gets me through corners a lot quicker.

    Magoeba Trek

Make sure you work on your climbing...you have been warned...
  14. You want the option to bomb it and ride multi stage races if you choose....Top Fuel at 120mm is all the bike you may need. Had mine for 2 months coming from a Rocky Mountain Element. Great rig and verrrry capable.

    Magoeba Trek

Maybe lets start with a few comparison criteria and bear in mind this is an opinion of 1. Magoeba (M) v W2W (W) Which is tougher - (M) due to the area and climbing v distance (haven't done the calc but it feels like more climbing at Magoeba Which is more technical - (M) mainly due to the track not being as well ridden as W2W and something called the Rocky Horror... Which has the better facilities (W) - its slicker and been around longer and has more money going into the event. Rider enjoyment - this is split down the middle. I loved the Magoeba track and I love W2W track Magoeba you drink beer - W2W you drink wine! Easier and cheaper to get to M from JHB vs the Cape (flights etc) The unknown for Magoeba in 2020 is the venue change to Stanford College and likewise the W2W change is the reversed route so you have to do both :-)
  16. Small piece of advice....just stay away from Orange Seal! Makes the inside sidewalls stick together and klumps up inside the tyre...save yourself some effort.
  17. If you mean the 2.0 diesel Tucson then all good the petrol 2.0 is underpowered on the highveld. Kia Sportage shares the same engines and the 2.0 diesel is bulletproof - 131kW and 400Nm.
  18. I ran the same...Spez GC on the front and FT on the back. Never had an issue, but then I'm not running Stans, but the oatmeal type sealant. I did have the weeping issue on a Conti, but i topped up a little more than needed and it sealed after a few days of riding...
  19. Interesting thing for me is, his profile is the only active one under Team...?
  20. Best advice as above!...'Less is more' is probably the most important thing you will hear for Sani2C. Speak to your partner and decide who will carry what. Don't duplicate except for a spare tube and a bomb each coz you have 4 wheels. One chain link, if you both on 11spd or 12 spd, one multitool, etc etc
  21. I ordered my Endurace frames last year Feb and via UPS it was a flawless process. The Canyon, its packaging and items you receive is world class. The little torque wrench in the box to put all the bits together was a nice touch as well.
  22. What Droo said...spot on. Have set built up nice and wide with J bend and decent hubs..think i9, DT's, Hope or the like
  23. Agreed! Great trail that keeps you interested all the way through! You can decide to ride comfortably or hammer it and feel the front wheel almost losing grip going through the 'kyalami' corners stretch! Good fun.
