  2. Started Next (Michael Crichton) last year. Got to page 80 and then left the book. Picked it up this morning again... page 374 as now. Struggling a bit with my vision, but missed reading so much. The new glasses helps a bit, but doing most reading with my contact lenses so look like a Dagga smoker right now (burning red eyes) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

please report back on WOTPlayed a bit of War of Warships and that was fun, but it is not on the XBox and only on the PC Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  4. Same with Pretoria people. If they are from the "disadvantaged" with their BMW X5 or BFU SUV they do not care about the rules as they are entitled to do what they want.

Will see if the price drops a bit on release on the Xbox One.It looks like an awesome game though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  6. NO!!!!! My uncle decided that my grandfather's hammer that looked like this without the handle was not worth it and chucked it out. If only I knew what I know now.
  7. The show is not for everyone, just like Brickleberry is not everyones cup of tea.The link to intelligence I know nothing about. Just look,at the McDonalds sauce episode that showed a lot of fan, storming and almost breaking down McDonalds shops for not stocking the said sauce. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  8. Pickle Rick! Love the show. The SO, hates it. Try to get the uncensored version. Much better than the other bleep versions. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

I think if you have a bit of money you can hook up a few adapters to the console to make a nice game.Still have to play it, but Dirt 4 is taking up a bit of time at the moment Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Try this: Intel Core i9 7900X 64GB DDR4 RAM Samsung EVO NVME 265 GB GTX 1080Ti Few other things for the PC, but costs R68730 Just completed the build yesterday. Windows and image this morning then off to a client on Monday. Think it should be able to play a few games with a rig like this. And afaik this is going to stand in a LAB doing processing and not gaming.

Went and got me a XBox One. For those who want to to get one make sure you have a high speed internet connection and a HUGE data cap. 6GB for most game updates. The one 360 game sucks a 24GB update to start working. So my 50 GB FU policy is a definitive FU just to keep my game itch scratched Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  13. So, went to complete the headboard that my father decided on how and what to use. Had a catastrophic failure. Dad decided to clamp and lime every piece of the headboard. Problem being that pallet wood does not love pressure and strain. So the headboard spilt in a few places. To be honest I was glad. That meant that I could do it my way... Here is my dads way Here is what I decided on: Not one drop of lime was used. That gaps are on purpose and I worked with the wood. If it was crooked like the ANC I would make it fit with another piece. No clamping was done The SO did the stain work Parents just delivered the headboard. Lesson to be learnt, measure twice then pen the size. Think the new headboard came out better this time. And dropped the push switch due to the size limit It is a little tight, thus the mistake of measure twice Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  14. Anyone know if you can replace a Ryobi hand planers belt? I am unable to find an image of the planer, but it seems that the belt broke on Sat. There is a bit of work that I would like to do on the headboard, but the planer stopped working and a few bits of rubber fell out at the drum thing...
  15. Indeed, did not go for the small one. Got an larger one.Used it a lot this weekend as the skill saw is a mission to use. Will get proper things later on Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  16. Yeah, safety wasn't on the priority list. Never been, and doubt that it will be soon. And it is not that it is lacking. Just think being in safety boots every day takes a toll on my dads' feet.

I am no longer supporting the COD franchise. After Advanced Warfare being a total let down and a waste of my R800 I decided not to support them anymore. That and that actor they used put me off the games. So I am glad I did not pre-order the WW2 game.
  18. Not yet. Attempting to swing my dad into the frame of mind to start his own thing and move away from the frame of mind that he has to work for a company. So working on it. Oh and got my dad the Mitre saw. If we did not have that saw things would not have worked out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  19. So visited the folks yesterday to do a bit of wood work. Here is what we accomplished. Used pallet wood, stained and used a sanding sealer on the wood. My dad wanted to do things his way, and took a lot of short cuts, but all in all I think for a first attempt at this was not to bad. Just needs a bit of electrical work and two bulbs. My dad also started a coffee table, but did not get to far. Darkness caught us and the fumes from the stain and sealer was a bit to much in the “shed” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Got me a 2nd hand Xbox 360S Want to reduce my power consumption as the PC can draw 500 watts of power and a max of 700watts. First console of the sorts. Got it for the older games. Will get a Xbox One later, but for now the 360 will have to do Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  21. Cool. Will see if I can get this in a retail setting. Thanks, Pants Boy. Oh will skip on the Mirte saw for now.
  22. Thanks The Metabo is sort of out of my reach at the moment money wise. Thought this will do for now, but now I am not so sure; https://www.builders.co.za/Power-Tools/Bench-Top-Tools/Mitre-band-Saw-%26-Cut-off-Saws/Ryobi-210mm-Mitre-Saw-%28850w%29/p/000000000000515047
  23. Guys, my dad will kill me for this... He was retrenched earlier this year. He is a real handy guy that can make a stunning braai out of a few pieces of stainless steel. My grandfather was a meneer at woodwork. Had all the great toys and machines needed to make a mediocre piece of wood something great that lasted. But my grandfather was a twat and left everything to his son in law that gave away all the machines after the old man passed. So dad has the basics. A old router (that trips the power), sanders, drills and a circular saw. So he can get most things done, but I want to help him a bit. I know he needs a planer (my uncle has one and the 25km outing does them good) But are there things that can make life easier for him? One thing that I loved as a kid was the DeWalt mitre saw (but that is long gone) I know the router can be fixed. I think it is either the brushes that needs cleaning or replacement, but I think that is a Makita router, so it will outlast us all... Wood saw is on the list (he uses a grinder as a saw) and chisels maybe later? Any books that will help him? We are heading home this weekend to go and build a headboard for me and the SO, and to help him on his other projects, but first of all to give him a wood saw! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

My newest addiction comes via World of Warships. Free game, but you can buy things to get ahead of the pack... That and the 40GB game download can be a pain some times.
