Just an Update, the wheels went to Shimano to check and Jade at Cool Heat has handled it very professionally and issued me with a credit. Well done to Cool Heat and Jade.

Don't think its a weight problem-74kgs. I spoke to Jade at Cool Heat and he has been very helpfull-will see what happens finally but he has really tried to help even when the wheels have been used for a couple of months.

On Jokemans post of the best wheels I have wanted to post this some time now but have been hesitant. The worst wheels for me are Shimano RH550s. I got them as part of an insurance replacement and started using them as training wheels, what k#k wheels, the are like riding on pizza dough and they have to be trued almost every second week. Do you guys and gals think I should take it up with Shimano or will I just be fobbed off?

I have never been so the m@#r in at a race. I emailed the organisers and got a very detailed reply-I told them to post a reply as they have a lot to explain.

Also had the same scenario wanted mtb but $$$$ issue and went on the whole soektog. Check the Multi Magazine, first page there are GTs on special from Leighs in KZN, but they can work something out as the agent is in JHB. Maybe an Idea if u want to go GT.

The only thing that I find challenging in this event is the R160 ENTRY FEE, but at least it does not beat R195 for 94.7.
