  1. Also enjoyed this, i see season 2 is scheduled for release early 2014.
  2. In theory, and extremely unlikely but you could podium at an event like Cape Epic and Jock Cycle tour as a fun rider.
  3. Silverback, but then as i own two i'm perhaps biased.

LoL, my experience of Cajees, they will mark an item for R500, then negotiate a discount of R50 less making it R450. Walk into another bike shop and the same item is R400. Before i go there i first check what other bike shops offer, then when they offer me their "incredible discount" i can tell then no thanks. Solomons on the other hand I found offer real discounts.

Yes you can negotiate, put them to the test then complain if they don't match up If you can't find what you are looking for in our store, we will source it for you. We will sell you the right bike - we use the latest technology to ensure that your bike is correctly fitted for you. We will not be beaten on price - find a product cheaper, we will match it. If you have already bought it, we will refund you the difference - we even match internet prices.
  6. As mention avoid it, rather look for a decent 2nd hand bike.
  7. Those have been discussed.
  8. I replaced my bike brand saddle that came on the bike with a Fizik Gobi, happy so far.
  9. That is good , one of my colleagues who did a 7.25 comrades this year and weighs about 65kg did it on a similar bike in 4.10 starting at 7.50.
  10. And a pin, i read somewhere that they can be quite expensive if you get one from one of the service points https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/133397-taking-advantage-of-cyclists-in-need/
  11. Now that you point that out....
  12. I took a hard fall in April and was off the bike till August, found out on Sunday i still have not found my groove.
  13. Someone asked earlier is BigH big, yes he is, He's does also own half bicycles and is quite a tough "topppie" and did the crater cruise on a rigid fork hybrid, something i would never do. Stirrer for sure (but a lot of blue bull fanatics are) but i don't for one moment believe, despite what he states, he will intentionally cause harm to fellow cyclist.
  14. Yeah i know he easily could slot in with the elites and certainly capable of doing better than 2:30, odd thing though if he rode with someone he is a minute clear of the 2nd place rider who's an U23 and 3 minutes ahead of the rest, usually you ride over the mat together.
  15. Seeding must have been tough this year, Malcom Lange seeded in group H. Lange, Malcolm 2:30:56 339/20506 M 305/15518 H 1/546
  16. Fixed
  17. Go for a good used MTB, your options to do things like jump pavements and avoid road hazards are better.
  18. What makes this more despicable is that Mr 702 traffic and road safety spokesman Aki Anastatiou himself took part in this, would have thought better of him
  19. I was exploited at the 94.7 registration where i paid R14 for a 330ml can of coke. I could have gone to the Northgate PnP where i could have bought a 500ml for far less. Damn organizers making a killing out of hungry and thirsty customers.
  20. What do those idiots think riding all over the road what do they think the the yellow line is for.
  21. How did your race go? Started off with the idea of catching and passing you but gave that up after the first 100m.
  22. Well done on finishing, i can only imagine how hot is must have been out there for riders on the course around midday. Cycle (start 7:15am) Avg Temperature:25.7 °CMin Temperature:19.0 °CMax Temperature:34.0 °C Walk to car (start 2:15pm) Avg Temperature:34.0 °CMin Temperature:28.0 °CMax Temperature:38.0 °C
  23. I stand, cycle corrected then I lined up near the front of my queue but by the time our batch started I was 2/3 back from all the riders pushing in in front..
  24. Yeah, time of batch start irrespective of where you are, front or back, to when you cross the timing mat at end. One thing i did not notice was timing mats along the route.
  25. Highlights were the spectators, WP well manned and stocked (although i missed the biltong one on the N14 they had last year) fellow riders chirps, our company hospitality area with plenty beer and boerrie rolls available, oh and i got to meet the infamous "Steve".
