  1. If i had to listen to the things i hear at LB's, SS is a passing fad and 29'ers wont be a big hit. Interesting the LBS owner took part in the SSWC and stocks and sells 29'ers.
  2. i have 2 floor pumps for home use and carry 1 small bike pump and 2 bombs when out cycling. Quick sales pitch, in Ride Mag i see for 94.7 expo Solomons are selling 10 16g bombs for R100.

  4. I'm sure spell check and Google translate will help.
  5. Mishack and Sello entered a chocolate shop. As they were busy looking around, Mishack steals 3 chocolate bars. After leaving the store Mishack says to Sello, "man, I'm the best thief ever, I stole 3 chocolates, and no one saw me, U can't beat that". Sello replies, “You want to see something better?" Let’s go back to the shop and I'll show you real stealing" So they went to the counter and Sello says to the shopkeeper: "Do you want to see magic? Shopkeeper replies, "Yes!" Sello says, "Ok, give one chocolate bar" The shopkeeper gave him one, and he eats it. He asks for the 2nd and he eats it as well. He asks for the 3rd and finishes that too. The shopkeeper asks, "But where is the magic?" Sello replies: "Check in my friends pocket and you'll find them!"
  6. No insult taken Agree on the traction bit, i also have a 29HT" and 29"DS and find they grip better whereas the 26" i tend to either lift the front or skid out the back when going up rocky climbs.
  7. Never thought of myself being 6.5" as looking stupid on a 26"

  11. Ditto on the start times, besides the delayed start i think the gap for the early start groups was 10min,
  12. Enjoyed the ride, only did the 60km but rode to the start and back home which added another 30km of riding so 90km for the day. Started in last group and was quite nice for a change to pass many riders. I did not have any particular problems with traffic on the route, but have heard from a few other riders that did.
  13. Thought i was in desert storm That open stretch just before Bapsfontein i could hardly see 20m in front for the dust.
  14. Suggest you DONT do it without permission from the park authorities. Cyclist already have a bad rep with the parks board,

  18. Results are out, http://www.spectrumsport.co.za/ One of the best "little races" iv'e done as far as venue and organization goes. The goody bags and good quality T shirts were a welcome plus.
  19. Nice digs at us on the East Rand... but hold on a moment is it more regular that there are complaints about riders behavior in the cradle, in fact worse there, I guess our excuse is we are inbred and stupid, must be then the riders in cradle while being superior are arrogant and spoiled.
  20. I guess that's why i stay in Boksburg then.

  23. No but two rights make a complete180.
  24. Noakes has never said this and mentioned from the start that it will not suit everybody (pun intended) "A group of six doctors, comprising cardiologists and University of Cape Town academics, have written to the Cape Times suggesting that Noakes has gone too far in claiming his low-carb, high-fat diet is suitable for all patients"
  25. A man and his wife quarrelled and had a fight. After the fight, the wife went into the bedroom. A few minutes later, the husband also trooped into the bedroom and only to find the wife busy packing her clothing in the suitcase. He asked "You are packing! Where are you going??" She answered…" To my mother!" The man paused for a while and also got his big brown pure leather suitcase and started packing his clothes. The wife angrily stared at him and said "You are packing! Where are you going?" He replied " Oh ya! I am going to my mother!" The wife… "To your mother! And what about the children! Who is going to look after them?" The man…"You are going to your mother! Fine - I am also going to my mother. The children also should go to their mother"
