  1. For sure, the store in Fourways Crossing has expanded and have a wide range of bikes including Merida and Momsen.
  2. Have you tried Sportsman's warehouse in Fourways,
  3. Had the same issue with slight play, also turned out the through axle was not turned tight enough.
  4. Yeah, nice seeing you again NSBB. Course was shorter than last year, but they kept most of the "good stuff" in My ride time was 4h45m so i had enough time to do another 2 laps, my legs would disagree though Perhaps next year they can remove that grassy climb before the end
  5. Correct only the Jones's would buy a 29" and ride it on the road, the rest buy them because they want to and ride it on the dirt.
  6. Biggest size locally available i know is 23 which Merida has bikes.
  7. Had my road and old MTB done by them a few years back, very good. Will take my current MTB into them for a setup.
  8. Results are out Congrats NSBB 2nd overall.
  9. IMO this bike from Solomons in Woodmead is a better option for R6000. Rugby...

    Fixed
  11. I think it was last year Burry won a road race on a 29'er fitted with road cranks beating the top KZN guys.
  12. The LBS's around my area all still have plenty of 26"
  13. One for 29ers, one for lesser bikes.
  14. Would hate to think how the Epic and other multi day stage riders who change their pads/disks cope with this.

    2012 94.7

Not quite yet the vibe of the August, route has only had full road closure about 10 years now. Jan Smuts and route through Randburg has the best crowd vibe. Expo is iffy, but you don't need GPS coordinates to find your start block on race day, its colour coded red and black which indicates either left or right, parking is more organized and i find the finish area better than the August.
  16. From page 1
  17. Everyone's adding their 2c, similar comment over and over and over.
  18. Maxxis Crossmark 29" R450 from Evobike, even with postage added on still cheaper than CWC ,
  19. Tough audience today.
  20. Ta, now i got to get more coffee, mines all over the keyboard
  21. Geax TNT fit quite easy on WTB wheels, i hear they are not great for wet conditions but i had no problems with them on the Eqstra classic with the patches that were wet.
  22. Will try that
  23. Prices all appear in euros even when you select SA from the list. CRC when SA is selected, it changes the price to rand.
