  1. Grapkas tell hubby to take you down to Rustenburg Spa after next Saturdays race for a full body sports massage and toxic clean-up. Therafter relax with a strawberry smoothie and be pampered for the rest of the day. This will de-stress your body and allow you to put some fun back into your cycling, you are to focussed on racing everything.
  2. What a @##$$% machine. I believe Crux has bought this beauty for the "Rider of the year " member of TCS, bet everyone wants to join TCS now. Crux and Spinnekop must be shareholders at Cannondale or they are the silent partners at Wesdene Cycles.Faried must be smiling all the way to the bank after this purchase.
  3. Hi D-R if my opinion has offended you I apologize, however as the customer you have the choice of where to shop. Cajees try to cater for the needs of the cycling public and will continue to do so hence the range of sizes and quantities available to the public. Cajees are trying and will continue to improve on the service side of their products but it is not easy employing specialist mechanics as they come with a hefty salary tag. Cajees do not offer professional bike set-ups hence they recommend Cycle fit for this service ( Arran has a proven track record with his service in this respect) Should Cajees put him out of business as well by offering the service in their shops, I think not. Please come into any of the shops or phone Amed, Mohammed or Fatima and speak to them about the issues you have as this will help improve on their weak areas as well.
  4. Well well well after all said and done I note that some people are at it again, like I said in the other posts stop moaning about Cajees stores and their Bad Bike service and set-up thereof. Cajees is in the market to sell bikes and the like. You are the paying customer walk away and go to your shop of choice, for those who complain they are advertising falsely report them to the ASA or consumer council. Is it not stange for the 2007 team issue Raleigh Cajees has received over 750 orders and you guys are still coming in to put your names on the waiting list. If we are that BAD why come to us?????? By the way do you know how many other cycling shops around the country come and purchase from us as well to please you their loyal customer.
  5. Well done to Erick, This proves that the Events office is mananged properly and is willing to help where they can, however the responsibility lies with us the cyclist to ensure we get the details of races from the correct channels and READ the information section on the online entry lists properly Erick I think it would be beneficial to all if you can give a short description of what the events office entails to the forum. Thanking you once again.
  6. Thank you to the TCS guys you have shown us that it is possible to race and enjoy one's position in the bunch whilst sharing the workload Isaac had a great day out there with you guys keep it up .Jason what happened Isaac missed you, he had planned sing-a-long for you. Well done guys. Crux your photos are awesome, great work once again.
  7. If all else fails let us call upon CSA to do the right thing: All riders wanting to licence must subject themselves to at least five seasonal tests and the first ten riders at all major events tested with random testing amongst the rest of the riders EVEN those with DNF as they carry most of the load during the races working themselves to the bone. If you want to clean the sport do it properly period.
  8. It is a matter of win at all costs no matter what the consequences. It is easy to fire someone for breaking the rules and not give a golden handshake, whereas you request self imposed testing on your riders and have to pay for the rehabilitation thereof as you are seen to be part of the problem. SO THE CHALLENGE THEN TO ALL OUR PRO CLUBS IS AS FOLLOWS " Come out in the open and state your status of riders and club involvement if any in this mess" Kill the rumours ONCE and for ALL.
  9. Wow, at last some action or another damp squit-firstly I do not believe the "orange team " DaveS is referring to is either us Orange Okes or TCS as we have pure fun on the road as witnessed on Sunday,no need to waste money on crap. DaveS why should it be a pity for CYCLING " You do the crime then Do the time" It is farcical to watch how our doping officers work at the races, Take Sundays race for instance ( D2D) No sanitized Toilet/room for the guys to do their thing in, use the same as all public members I believe this taints the results there and then, our officials should be more responsible in their handling of such affairs . Wander why no blood testing is done for more comprehensive results, as in athletics, cycling doping will not change in SA unless the officialdom changes it's attitude and does proper testing WITH NEUTRAL doping officials not aligned to sports teams/individuals . The same will happen as with the PTA athletes busted a few months ago , they will plead ignorance and the blame will be shifted once again on Chunky's shoulders as he is the only brave sole to speak out . I say team mangement and riders must be banned for life if found guilty of an offence "no two year ban etc"
  10. strange one Spinnekop " Pace him back" but M Jacko waited a full two minutes at Harties for the second rider to come in and yes the third rider happened to be a Orange Oke as well---- BUT without Epoh around things will not be the same he is THE Machine one wants and needs to shake up all the lazy riders in the bunch, get better buddy we need you there on Sunday . Jason it seems your tongue lashing of my boys really worked as they are finding form and line but missing you to mix it up with them.

This will be an ideal starting point as we will have a photo description and serials on file, make all the LBS aware of this database as well. Mark your babies the same way you do your electronic equipment at home- engrave a certain area for easy identification. You see or suspect a bike is stolen on the road or second hand shop it makes life easier for the police once reported. Name and Shame these hoodlums purchasing these machines.
  13. Mampara : In my opinion cycling will never favour PDI's as there is a no return on investment for the sport in this respect, Only in the Western Cape via the PPA is there some free entries for certain PPA races to PDI's I stand under correction but I do not believe it includes all women as well .PPA please answer if available. However some race organzisers will hand out a few entries to PDI's as they deem fit such as Dome to Dome, Carnival etc. Gumpole I get the feeling you have a problem with us people of colour as you always have negative remarks to pass in most of your postings about us. Be a sportsperson and get on with the sport not remarks as above as it says much about you as a person. Every person of colour in the A bunnch has worked as hard, if not harder than you to get a slot in the A bunch.
  14. Epoh The okes in Orange will not be there ,we will see you at the Dome to Dome.Jason you got a great time at Lost City keep it up- we missed you in the A bunch.
  15. Well this is interesting someone has the guts to mention there is tricks (#@%)ING) taking place in cycling. The last few years some SA athletes in the athletics and running world were caught out because they became complacent and overdone it , there is still many more doing it and getting away because the controlling bodies does not want to spent the money on having the correct tests done and on a frequent basis as well. I believe ( MY OPINION) we have to many persons on the doping board in SA aligned with the athletes/cyclists in some form or other hence the truth does not surface of the real state of affairs in our sport. What is in your system is your responsibilty nobody else.
  16. Hi again The Orange okes will be riding Lost City with no intention of winning anything , except for the fun of competing as we always do and causing some breaks chaos if we can do it right so as to ensure nobody loafs on the day . How strange that this has become a TCS / NH issue when the only commonality between the two clubs is that some members of each were original team mates at another club. Jason as stated earlier there is a lots of stirring going on here and NO THERE IS NO FIGHT ON, that will be down to the bikesand legs doing what is best for all.Hoping to meet you at the race.
  17. On behalf of the Orange okes I totally agree it is wrong period, the amazing thing about this issue is it happens all the time and nothing is done about it, hopefully the "NAME AND SHAME " hit-list will bring an end to this ugly monster - Crux and Michelle keep flashing away at all those morons ( Orange ones included)
  18. Hi Joburg_Red Please give some feedback after a week or two of riding with your new set-up I think it will help other hubbers as well knowing what works or not from our service providers out there . Enjoy your cycling
  19. Hi all Arran charges R250-00 per set-up all inclusive takes around 1 1/2 hours to complete .
  20. Hi Have a chat with Arran Brown from Cycle Fit ( 072 566 2925) ,he personally does the set-up for you at a much cheaper rate than most set-up centres. I have had 15 set-ups done by him for my club and not one come back as yet, There is an improvement in your riding after a proper set-up is done
