Didnt get my 3:30.. Managed to get 3:43.. Im really happy with my result considering I had a chain issue and as said, your group also dictates your speed in some places. (As my wife says, no comments column ) but what a day to ride on!!

How did it go guys and girls? Roer did you get your time?

My theory is go as fast as you can!!! last year I went pretty hard and I was cycling with a mate at the top of Suikerbossie we some how lost each other and pretty much cycled in pretty slow from there till the end.. I could easily say I could of shaved 15min off my time if we didnt have the mix up. You can do it... You in the group to pull you for the sub 4 range... Trying to aim for 3:30 in T and on a hybrid.. so Weather is going to have to prestine!!!

Hey Guys, Just one question. Just downloaded Endomondo (Wondering why it took me so long, this app is awesome) And I have joined the garden route 300 so my wife can follow me. The question is does the GPS chow data? I will be using my iphone and what sort of battery life are we looking at? Thanks

Good Morning, Im considering going and riding from Cedar Square gym down Witkoppen entering the spruit and cycling to the Bryanston Pick n pay and back tomorrow morning. Plan to leave at about 5:45. Anybody is welcome to join? Also will there be others on the track. Just worried about the safety aspect of riding by myself. Mat

So I arrived this afternoon in C.T unpacked and geared up the bike and headed my way to meerendal. Was greeted by a friendly crowd and decided to do the red route and extend with the blue route. Stairway to heAven very cool and that jeep trail climb to the top is pretty cool. Like always you are rewarded with a awesome single track with a nice rocky drop off. Not the most intense route but really enjoyable. Thanks for the suggestion guys Mat

Hi Guys, Im driving down to Cape town on Friday with my Fiance to attend a wedding and also finalise ours, so my trusted steed will be joining me. I always read how awesome it is to ride in Cape Town and the surrounding areas, so I need to give it a go! I will most probably ride by myself/ or maybe join a morning ride. I will be able to ride on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. I will be based in the Milnerton areas. Any suggestions on where to go? Mat

Hey guys, So I have a small amount of a MX background and took up mountian biking about 2 years ago... Im itching to buy another bike, but my XC has treated me well and Im not planning to replace it anytime soon. So I was thinking I could really enjoy downhill MTBing...(been toying with the idea for awhile) Here in Johannebsurg I think there isnt much of it(Correct me if Im wrong) but Im keen to leave a downhill bike in Cape town and when I go, ride it(basically when the wife goes for tea with the girls I can go down Table mountain )... It sounds like you have epic courses to ride and I want to see what you guys are raving about. So my question is, what should I buy as an entry level bike. Looking at second hand.. Also best way of approaching the discipline( balls to the wall) small jumps first slowly increasing or is there a group I can join on weekends which can give tips and stuff? Man I got punked again, first round entered adventure through the rush entry.Loaded shirt size and everything, thinking I got in and then BAAM!! You have been placed on a waiting list. Then the third race was announced and I was pretty confident we were going to get an entry. Didnt receive an email, but went onto the site and could load shirt sizes and even went as far as credit card details. I hestitated to make sure 100% my partenr was in and BAAAM!! My session expired, went back in and I have been placed on a waiting list!! Phoned Judy and she told me I have to see now if people pay and I can pick up an entry if not, because I am not that far down the waiitng list. I just dont understand, they were about to take my credit card details and now Im on a waiting list... ODD!!!!
